I'm curious to see if there are a significant number of players who have never attempted a raid before, despite being the necessary level.
So... if you've hit level 29 or above, comment here with your current level, when you started playing, and why you haven't tried raiding (yet?) :3
Edit: There are a bunch of awesome people who have commented in this thread that they're willing to give unseasoned raiders a hand. If you're considering giving raids a try, why not start by reaching out to one of these players? Just please remember, the biggest requirement in learning how to raid is not your equipment, not your level... it's courtesy, honesty, and an ability to listen more than you talk.
Happy raiding, Guardians!

I am guessing for the majority of people it comes down to the time aspect and being intimidated by them being a first time raider. By now most people have read or watched videos on VoG or CE and have an idea what to do, it is just hard for them to make the leap to try it. I didn't raid until CE came out and it was mainly because I didn't want to be that clueless first timer and feel like I was causing the run to fail. Finally I just posted for a group and I am glad I did, the raids are fun especially when paired with the right people. Yeah you get pushy and bossy members but the majority of players are cool and helpful. I see posts about patrols and strikes being fun and they are, but the raids add a new dimension and running them once a week for loot is what makes them unique. If you were like me and not sure, post on here or DestinyLFG under a normal mode raid about it being your first run and someone will pick you up and explain things.
