I'm curious to see if there are a significant number of players who have never attempted a raid before, despite being the necessary level.
So... if you've hit level 29 or above, comment here with your current level, when you started playing, and why you haven't tried raiding (yet?) :3
Edit: There are a bunch of awesome people who have commented in this thread that they're willing to give unseasoned raiders a hand. If you're considering giving raids a try, why not start by reaching out to one of these players? Just please remember, the biggest requirement in learning how to raid is not your equipment, not your level... it's courtesy, honesty, and an ability to listen more than you talk.
Happy raiding, Guardians!

Bearbeitet von Siffera: 3/11/2015 1:51:17 PMIf you're on the Xbox One and want to do these raids, you can freely add me. GT: Siffera I'm usually up around the afternoon and my timezone is EST. I do the raids often and have a group of friendly people who do them as well, and the only thing I expect in return is being friendly as well. Just let me know via message if you're from here or not. I get spammed too often.

3 AntwortenIt's really a time issue for me. I typically can only play in short bursts. I just do CE solo but I can't get Crota down alone. I really would like to at least get into Crota checkpoint groups.
-
1 AntwortenI have a 32 and I only ever try to solo the raid. I have yet to complete it because I only look for groups after I reach Crota, and every attempt turns into a bust because people rarely ever know what they are doing and don't like to follow directions from the people who know what to do. My last attempt on Saturday a group joined MY FIRETEAM, but their pack leader took charge and gave his friends all the wrong information. He told one of his friends to use his sniper on Crota. He also would call for rockets instead of the swordbearer, and it got to the point where he called rockets before our swordbearer was prepared. All in all, I always have bad experiences in groups so I have 1 raid completion in the last year.

4 Antworten3 31's started Sept 9th. Would like to do it but when I try lfg I get unorganized people whining. I have the g-horn maxed ib maxed. But just have been able to get in.

I'm a 28 and haven't done a Raid yet. I'm dying to though. XboxOne GT: DABEARS5054

2 AntwortenThat's me. I don't have enough friends who play destiny to do one. The farthest I've gotten on one is to the bridge in CE normal.
-
1 AntwortenHave a lvl 31 warlock and never fully completed the raid. (Beat Atheon 3 times, all with checkpoint). I'm on ps3 so its hard to find good raiders.
-
9 AntwortenMe too. Despite being lvl 31 with my Titan haven't tried any raid yet. Youtube'd them so far and only. Mostly due to limited time and wasn't sure my gear is enough. Also "only for 32s" rules ;-) But I am keen to try one. I am at +1 european time zone. Cheers Also it's sometimes my 9 yo son playing his hunter.

5 AntwortenI have 4 raid completions with 15 days of gameplay. My experience has been awful finding raid groups and when I do the groups were either poor players or cheesers that expect you to know everything about glitching the raid. So I basically gave up and don't have a large group of friends to play with. At this point in time it's a hassle finding a group that wants to include a unseasoned raider. Kinda sucks bc raiding is the pinnacle of the Destiny experience.

1 AntwortenDay 1, half of VOG, got to Templar after 2 hours! Had to leave for prior commitments... Wifey wanted her dinner!! Does that count?!

Two levels 30-31, depends on armor set-up. I tried rides a few times. Never completed them. I don't have enough time for doing them, my play sessions are frequent but short, that's all...

3 AntwortenBearbeitet von I Joe Guitar I: 3/11/2015 1:34:43 PM3 31s & been here since launch, i have no interest in raids whatsoever, ive jumped in them just to have a look around but i have no inclination to raid whatsoever. I enjoy my strikes, doing bounties etc.

12 AntwortenLevel 31. To shy to search for a group with my broken english. Haha

4 Antworten31 Titan. 31 Hunter (or could be if I level some gear up more, he has multiple sets for 30) 31 Warlock (or could be if I level some gear up more, he has multiple sets for 30) Not exactly day one, as I was out of town for business, but first week. Most 'randoms' I have teamed with get pissy if you make a mistake and die, I haven't been through any of the raids, and would need a team with that understands that and can show me the ropes. Most I slow down so they are not interested. I do not have 'horn, so that makes me less popular as well. So my response is f' it. If I ever do, I do, I don't, I don't. It's just a game. Due to the 'great' Bungie design, a level 2 has the same chance as a level 30 in a raid of dropping something good. So why bother?

4 AntwortenBearbeitet von SpikeH26: 3/11/2015 1:37:02 PMDidn't have a good mic till recently and with a young child its hard to spend that much time esp if it doesnt go smoothly. Ran with a normal VOG run the other night had a blast, but didn't get all the way to the end. Got raid boots and Praedyth Revenge out of it so not too bad. 2 Level 31 Titans.

4 AntwortenI was very lucky in that another player offered to drag my ass round last weeks nightfall when I was still level 26!! (Big shout out n thanks to Didactical) Helped a lot with the bonuses, not really used the legendary Fusion I got though. Could invest in a vanguard chest price to get to lvl30 but I'd rather save n get a legendary gun. Hmmm decisions decisions.....

2 AntwortenLevel 31 Warlock - never raided as I have always shied away from 'online' gaming, silly in the context of Destiny I know. I now have fully leveled weapons in each of the 3 elements. I shall look for an introductory group soon!
-
3 AntwortenTook a level 24 through normal vault last night. Give me your tired, your hungry, your sick. I'll feed them allllllll

28 is high enough dude to be useful through the whole VOG on Normal.

You aren't alone my friend. I run a level 31 Hunter and a level 30 Titan. My clan and crew I run with rarely do raids. When we do, we have fun with it and enjoy the experience. This is a game after all. No sense in getting irritated when somebody doesn't do something exactly right. Enjoy the game any way you want. Who cares if you aren't 32. When HoW comes out, people are going to talk crap about the players who aren't 34 (or whatever the new cap is). Tune it all out and have a good time.
-
3 AntwortenI don't really Raid and I am almost level 32. I play Crucible most of the time as I prefer it. I would Raid more if I could find a reliable team. Perhaps in the future.
-
5 Antworten29 Hunter, but network issues mean I get no voice chat - in or out. So wouldn't be able to hear anyone else and would just be doing my own thing.
-
1 Antworten31 Hunter. Took me forever to raid. I usually play with my brother who has a 5 month old daughter and limited gaming time. I wanted to wait to experience a raid with him, but got impatient and did my first couple raids last week. That sh** is fun!
