I have just spent several hours trying to figure out why I can’t connect and play Destiny 2 with my kids and went through all the rigamarole of linking accounts and adding them to my Bungie Family so I can manage their permissions. I have changed each of their voice/text chat settings and saved them, but the changes have not applied to their accounts in game. I have restarted the game, restarted their console, checked all the Playstation parental controls, and we still can’t voice chat with each other.
Can anyone tell me what I’m missing, why it’s not working, or how long it takes for the setting changes to be applied to their Bungie/Destiny 2 accounts?

1 ReplyHi there, Thanks for reaching out! To ensure parental controls are set up correctly, please follow these steps from our Date of Birth Requirements for Destiny 2 and Bungie Services Guide:
- To start the process, players or their responsible adult should visit www.bungie.net/permissions. Players can also send their responsible adult an invite link, which will be active for a short amount of time. - The responsible adult will then need to complete KWS parental verification. They can choose to provide a face scan, a credit or debit card number, or the last four digits of their social security number. This verification is completely managed by KWS, and we (Bungie) will only receive a verification result. We do not receive copies of any information you provide. - If a responsible adult doesn’t pass KWS verification, they will need to go back to www.bungie.net/permissions and restart the process. - If the responsible adult passes KWS verification, they can link their own Bungie.net account to their child’s account after verification with KWS. The responsible adult will then be redirected to the Parental Control page where they can make changes to the player’s settings, such as allowing voice chat, text chat, and purchases.
https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/24217906958868-Date-of-Birth-Requirements-for-Destiny-2-and-Bungie-Services
