I've been playing destiny from the beginning and now I'm looking for a new game because of the Encore exotic mission. I cannot progress through Act III quest. Encore is too long to not have checkpoints. I'm not going to sit there for an hour and a half just to be kicked back to the beginning from a bug.
Bungie screwed the pooch on this one. If they add check points then the people who have already done the mission will be pissed, if they don't then they lose players that have been loyal to the game all these years.
Also, what happened to the Vanguard and Gambit bounties? I don't even play gambit anymore with out the bounties.
Sincerely,
Disgruntled

With the "all it's easy and fast" that's not the point here if any mission takes more 20mins with 2 boss encounters along with hidden secrets it needs checkpoints in it, mission like those are in dungeon territory. Nothing sucks more then spending 25+mins in a mission to get to the last boss just to get DC for a split second due to a storm outside and find out you have start all over😩

If Nord Avalon , which was a mini-raid, didn't have Checkpoints , this little walk in the park shouldn't

I am not saying it’s good but this is how exotic missions have been as long as I remember, no CP. Also try to do it with people if you’re struggling with Solo.

Agreed, needs checkpoints. They could even make a checkpoint section option, point 1, 2, 3, 4 / however many or select start over. I also agree with you, that having it block the way of the story missions/ completions is a bad idea. Let us work on the story and have the exotic missions as a side quest. If it is going to be apart of the story, then checkpoints would help even more.

An hour and a half? The mission takes like 40 minutes tops

I just did it for the first time and there are only like two actual encounters. It’s definitely not long at all.

Add me and I’ll run you through it next time I see you online.

It does when you die

10 RepliesNo it doesn't half hour on solo piece of piss and you can skip most bits.

It's not that big and doesn't take long to go solo.
