Hey You! Get In Here! Let’s Cook Something!

REAL Caesar Salad =================== Ingredients: 3 anchovy fillets 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped ½ lemon, juiced 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 large egg yolk 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce ¼ cup olive oil salt and ground black pepper to taste 1/2 head romaine lettuce, chopped ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese Croutons ==================== Procedure: 1. To make the dressing: Mash anchovy fillets and garlic in a large salad bowl. Add lemon juice, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, egg yolk, and Worcestershire sauce; whisk until smooth and creamy. Gradually stream in olive oil little by little while whisking constantly. Season with salt and black pepper. 2. Assuming you know how to make a salad, toss the romaine lettuce with the Parmesan cheese and croutons. 3. Drizzle the dressing onto the salad. Anyways that’s how you make REAL Caesar Salad. Don’t buy the store bought salad dressing that stuff is no good.

  • Nice to see you don't have bacon bits listed as a cesear salad ingredient. I don't know where the idea came from, but whether real or fake bits, they destroy the taste of the salad. Ick. I'll buy dressing from a store, but it will never be the cheap, big brand name goop. I get mine from a local store that mostly carries small name or locally made products. Cheap can sometimes be good, but cheap salad dressings are not.

  • I don't know, I've had some damn good store-bought Caesar dressing in the past. That's not to suggest homemade dressing wouldn't make for a better salad, but still............
