So i was Downloading a game emulator and turns out thats not what it was. My anti virus freaked out and made me restart my computer to delete the files off my computer. After my pc was done booting back up i get a steam notification telling me that i’ve bean permanently banned from destiny 2. The thing is, not only did it not tell me what i was banned for, i haven't touched the game in a month. I have pretty good stuff on my account and have a little over 1000 hours on the game. I have purchased every expansion including the vaulted ones and the game back when it costed money. I even pre ordered it and got access to the beta on ps4 later transferring my data to steam threw the cross save feature. I purchased them on ps4 then again on pc and an unholy amount of silver. So I obviously wouldn’t just throw that all a away and get hacks or a client or somethings.
So I submitted an appeal on July 21, 2022 addressing my situation and i got no response which is honestly what I expected. And yes i did get a email telling me that they would investigate it. I waited a week, realizing that i got no response i decided to take another shot at it. However this time they respond within the our. I was very happy that they “responded” and opened the email. I open it to see that my ticket was closed. I honestly have no idea what do and i have already completely lost my respect for bungies customer support. If anyone has a way that i can personally get in contact with the devs which i kind of doubt but if anyone does have a way for me to do it, your help would be greatly appreciated. If you are wondering what i sent on my appeal i will list it bellow. Note that this is my second one because I didn’t save the first one
Like I've said before if done nothing wrong. I haven't played the game for a whole month before the ban. it's really that simple. i also got no reason to why i was banned. i opened my computer and was told i was banned. That's it i was permanently banned. no reason or explanation. Just that all the time and money i spent on a game i adored is now wasted.
I have tried to stay as patient as possible but I don't have any hope of my words affecting my situation. I am very small compared to a big company like you and have no power over who sees this. I don't even know if my appeal is really being read. I have done the research and have even talked with people in the same situation as me. Not to be prejudiced in any way shape or form but I believe that your banning system is very poorly managed. someone told me that they got banned for having bad wifi. something that he wasn't able to control. Considering that this happens to many people really disappoints me and has affected the way I've felt about your company. I say all this with no ill intent. Thank you for understanding.
