Hi folks
I'm returning to the game after a long break. The last time I put any real time into D2 was when Warmind dropped and then I stepped away.
I've bought the Forsaken Legacy Collection and the Deluxe Witch Queen expansion so in terms of DLC content, I'm 99% sure I have what I need.
The problem I have is this: I don't know what to do.
• I started with my 1350 Titan and was plummeted into the current Season campaign featuring a whole bunch of stuff I don't know about (Working with the Cabal, H.E.L.M, Nightmares...)
• I made a new Warlock and was set down the starter campaign which is practically the Destiny 1 opening campaign with some tweaks here and there.
So what's the best advice? Carry on with Titan (old) or the Warlock (new). Next...
• I've got a bunch of old legendary weapons and armour. I understand these won't upgrade any further so do I just delete them?
Ultimately the TLDR is: I've not played for years. Where should I start?

I also just returned two weeks ago after a more than two year break. I see the advice people are giving you is all over the place. So let me just tell you what I'm doing: Purchased the three dlc's I missed: Shadowkeep Beyond Light The Witch Queen Started playing through each dlc, starting with one character then on to the next. I'm learning the new upgrading systems, currencies, etc., as I go. I googled the 'top Destiny 2 weapons' so I'm sure to keep the good ones as they drop. If I didn't do this I would have either deleted and/or simply vaulted some top weapons that have dropped so far since I don't always try out every weapon that drops. Just have fun running through the campaign missions and other acitivities, you'll become familiar again as you go. Good luck.
