*UPDATE Sunday 9a CST 7/31* Bonfire Bash Still Rewarding 1 Silver Ash *AFTER PATCH*

Bungie - it’s still broken after the patch. This makes the event completely unplayable. Can we please get some acknowledgment, a tweet, something? I see you’ve responded on other threads but after the patch and still broken?? Literally no reason to even play until it’s fixed. Update 7/26: Bungie just tweeted that they fixed a problem with purchased items in the Eververse store. Priorities… (insert eye roll). Update 7/27: Still no workaround or engagement by Bungie despite this being reported literally everywhere. If Bungie doesn’t know how to fix this or has no intention of fixing it before the end of the event, just tell us so we stop wasting our time and move on to other things. It’s not fair to keep ignoring it or refusing to acknowledge it when it renders the event unplayable. I looked at the community managers Twitter and they are too busy with GM Nightfalls and Trials to address this - they probably can’t play the Solstice activity either lol. Update 7/27: Several people have pointed out tweets by community managers and devs alluding to this issue, all of which continue to say “the problem is being investigated”. Completely understand these things take time to fix - and that’s ok - but why no public acknowledgment that the problem exists? This is impacting MANY players including the precious influencers. Any formal communication here would be better than crickets. As someone pointed out in the thread, many people paid for the enhancement to the Solstice event and cannot progress. I’m no dev - but you’d think this would be a priority over fixing a glow or a cosmetic item in Eververse. Update 7/27: Still no official communication from Bungie acknowledging the severity of this problem or any transparency on a fix. On a whim, I equipped a completely fresh set of candescent armor on a character that I’ve already completed. I launched the activity from within the tower - not from orbit - as I’ve seen people report issues not receiving silver leaves when launching activities from different places. To my surprise, I received 20 silver ash!! I thought maybe the issue had been fixed, so I gathered 20 silver leaves, took them back into the activity, and only received 1 silver ash. Not a fix. I will try the same method later by launching the Bonfire Bash from orbit instead of inside the tower. Grasping at straws here, but at this point there’s no harm in trying. @Bungie - can we please get something from you? Anything? Update 7/27: Bungie has added the silver ash drop rate issue to its list of known issues that was updated this evening. Interestingly, it was not originally on the updated list but was added at some point after its original posting. It’s also buried behind many other issues which makes it easy to overlook. Encouraging that it is actually listed somewhere in an official capacity, but still no communicated urgency to fix a game-breaking bug for a limited time event. I think we are all hoping for some info in the TWAB tomorrow - but i’m not counting on it with all the new content teasers. It really feels like Bungie wants to bury the issue and it’s perfect timing to do so. We all know Bungie’s new stance on community interaction due to recent issues - and rightfully so - but this is being talked about everywhere. Forums, Reddit, Twitter. Respectfully, an update or ETA is needed, even if Bungie doesn’t have all the answers. Nobody on this thread has been disrespectful, abusive, or rude. We just want help - and this is where you direct your community to when they need help. Here we are. Help us. Update 7/28: Nothing new to report. No tweets, no new responses by devs in the help forums on any of the dozens of threads. Only movement was a stealth add to the known issues. Praying for some insight on the TWAB but at this point I’m not counting on anything. How they are letting this go on for so long is mind blowing, especially after acknowledging it is impacting all players. If it can’t be fixed or it’s a complex issue that is difficult to fix - how about some transparency? We can all live with that. Update Post-TWAB 7/28: Crickets. Glossed over with a list of other bugs. Major disappointment. Might be time to cut our losses. It’s clearly not important enough for Bungie to address on a larger scale. Update 7/29: Tried multiple workarounds last night but all ended with same issue. It’s getting to the point where the more time I invest in this, the more hypocritical I feel. Bungie doesn’t acknowledge anything. Look at the help forum. Besides a “mentor” who basically just states the obvious, Bungie reps have interacted with maybe three threads over the past week. I know they can’t personally address every concern but this specific thread has 51 upvotes and a volume of info. I’m beginning to think this - and Destiny - is a total waste of time. I miss Deej and the previous group of CMs. They cared and had the the guts to acknowledge a huge issue instead of burying it everywhere for plausible deniability. Update 7/29: Absolutely nothing to report. Problem still persists and zero communication from Bungie. They made it very clear by scheduling the new Raid on a Friday that they don’t staff on the weekends - so it’s safe to say we are screwed for the next few days as well. Thanks Bungie. Update 7/30: Kudos to Bungie for acknowledging this thread yesterday evening. At least we know they are seeing the info we’ve captured. This morning, I switched to my third character and followed Eva’s quest line to a T. I used fresh pieces of candescent armor to wipe the slate clean. To my surprise, I took my silver leaves into the bonfire event and got 95 silver ash in return. Before I get too excited, I need to continue testing. This has happened before and it’s usually the subsequent runs that start awarding one ash. I’ll try more later and report results. If anyone is seeing anything different today than what we’ve seen all week, reply so we can log. Update 7/31: So…. mine appears to be fixed. I don’t know how. The only thing I did was start fresh pieces of armor an an alt and ensured that I was spending my silver ash as I earned it. My gut tells me that banking silver ash behind the cap is somehow the root cause of the issue. I can’t guarantee this is the fix, but it’s working for me. However, I’m still going to keep logging here as we work through this and ensure it’s cared for. How’s everybody else doing? https://ibb.co/nPXgmH7 Note that the verbiage in the “top issues being investigated” is not accurate. This is not just impacting alts. It is impacting all characters.
