The concept of class leaders died when Cayde - 6 passed away during Forsaken.
Hunters were without a mentor. But many guardians have enough experience out there that we have started to question the need for class leaders. We have seen so much and learned so much.
Or do you think we still need those mentors and is Uldren a good enough replacement to Cayde - 6?

2 RepliesIt’s not just mentorship. They run various sections of their military and then coordinate across all the branches together. Scout, Investigate, Punch. Cayde did stuff, he wasn’t incompetent at his job.

Edited by Quiet_Bushi: 7/27/2022 4:18:10 PMVanguard Leaders are not only dedicated to mentor new Guardians. They are the military leaders of the Vanguard, those who organize all the Guardians throught sol. Patrol, scouting, Strikes, internal affairs, research and development ecc. That's why Vanguard Leaders are needed. One for each Class in order to make the most of every Guardian in their respective fields. EDIT: Btw, I doubt that Crow could become the new Vanguard Hunter. He doesn't have enough experience for such a thing and would be really weird to have him to cover that role.

4 RepliesI hope it’s not Crow. As new lights go, our guardians have more experience then he does. Especially when it comes to going on missions and working with the Vanguard. Also Crow is just annoying, he cry’s about everything, doesn’t listen to orders, then is shocked and hurt that people get pissed at him, when he does the wrong thing after not listening in the first place. Personally I would vote for someone like Petra Venj. She has a sassy side much like Cayde did.

6 RepliesEven Ikora and Zavala themselves know that the need for the Vanguard is fading and it’s fading fast. They no longer hold any real power. As you said, the death of Cayde became the death of the Vanguard themselves. And -blam!- no, Uldren needs to be killed a second time. For good this time.

Not at all I still wanna kill uldren/ Crow or whatever he's calling himself now.
