I had a conversation awhile ago with a Buddy of mine, chubbyninja, on exactly what fractaline was and what it could do
We came to the conclusion that it's clearly connected to time in a way. Due to the fact that we gain it from the obelisks while simultaneously using fractiline to strengthen an obelisks connection to the sundial so that it may secure the timeline on this designated planet
This got me thinking: what if fractiline is actually physical time itself, broken rubble from the corridors of time?
Think about it
1. It never showed up before the red Legion began messing with time
2. We use it to reinforce the timelines of each planet
3. We get fractiline from the sundial, where we destory potential cabal futures/timelines
4. We use it to buy weapons frames
5. We're using it to restore the lighthouse which was deatoryed, perhaps reversing time to when it still stood
Perhaps this suggests that the corridor of time act as the sub realm of time itself. Infinite corridors comprised of fractiline made structures and objects that span infinity
When a timeline/corridor is destroyed it breaks down into fractiline. We then use that fractiline to reinforce our own timelines/corridors
Thanks for reaching the end of my post, hope y'all enjoy

They're Rubik's cubes that never got painted.
-
Then why do pigeons like it so much? Is Saint-14 appeasing them so they don’t rip apart the timeline?
-
That doesn’t make much sense. You need to establish how closing down a corridor converts time into a physical object. Because turning time into a physical object you can hold is...unusual. I mean we get glimmer for killing enemies but we don’t see people being made from glimmer. So that part of the idea needs to be totally reworked.

It's a pointless currency in a game with way too many pointless currencies.

Gimmick.
-
It's that stuff in your thumb joint that crystallizes when you use it repeatedly.... that cracking noise? That's it forming.
-
You’re overthinking man, it’s simply a new currency. After this season you’ll never hear about it again
-
Honestly, I’ve had more interesting discussions about dog turds.
-
It's simply a virtual currency that serves no point in about 2 weeks
-
Fractaline is a pointless item added to an already over populated economy It is used to give people false ideas that they need to donate in order to unlock trials next season Personally I’m not sure what’s worse. The fact bungie have this lie or the fact people are dumb enough to believe it

-
My theory it's a time gate/waster.

your post got too popular and made it to trending, the plebs have discovered it

Soylent Green?

You ever noticed how its full of little black triangles?
-
All I know is that it takes way too long to donate that crap. You want to donate?, sure but hey, use cents only & push all 5000 of them through this tiny slot.
-
Fractaline is clearly breakfast burritos
-
The fractaline being donated could on the basis of your discussion quite literally be the old light house and once theirs enough it can literally be reformed to the present in its former glory
-
Fractline is literally FRACTured timeLINE.

The illuminati of Osiris

Nobody cares. It's just the seasonal material to grind and horde "just because ".

Fractaline........ Frac=Fractured Ta=Time Line=Line 🤔☝️☝️☝️ Make sense to me. Could also just read the Description. "Crystalline Structures formed as a Byproduct of the Space - time continuum being Disrupted" 👈🤭

Fractal - noun - a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. Fractals are useful in modeling structures (such as eroded coastlines or snowflakes) in which similar patterns recur at progressively smaller scales, and in describing partly random or chaotic phenomena such as crystal growth, fluid turbulence, and galaxy formation. -ine 1 ,suffix. -ine is attached to some roots or nouns to form adjectives with the meaning "of, relating to, or characteristic of; of the nature of Fractaline has the characteristics of the building blocks of probably crystal growth looking at the icons for it.
