I’m not trying to be that guy, but like, isn’t the point of pvp games being that if you’re good at it, you’re going to destroy other players that aren’t? Or maybe I’m just old fashioned

You are learning.. And this games skilled players are harsh per encountering... but record those matches that makes you lose your sh!t... I went full try-hard(my definition of try-hard is that I want to be better than I really am so everyone else is cheating or lagging)... and had to step back. No one cares... at all. Play for fun.. and if you are hitting high skilled players.. 1. You will. Nothing you can do BUT.. 2. Record and learn from those matches. You will see every mistake you are making. Yes, you will see the occasional lag scenarios etc.. but for the most part you will see the following mistakes.. 1. Being hesitant per any encounter 2. What looks like you are aiming off reticle and then trying to acquire your target quickly and over/under aiming for that first shot. 3. The flank scenario.. where as.. the person watching the flank does not win the 1 v 1, no one watches the flank, or your team moves into a corner together and just gets fully outplayed. 4. Synergy builds. I see so MANY people complaining.. I inspect their characters, and there is zero synergy.. synergy buys you two things. 1. time off of your weapons being ready and 2. dps. 5. If you find yourself getting frustrated.. that means you are emotional before you even start and the first few matches will dictate your performance and rest of the matches. The level of skilled players in this game blows my mind. Underneath the skilled players, you have cheaters. Cheaters are not good overall and will have your mid tier skill bracket and face the norms more often then your Cammycakes etc.., Find your swing, do your homework, and you will be legend before you know it. Sorry for the long post.. I just know that feeling of banging your head against the wall per this games pvp.

So I'm reading through the thread and I noticed something. Nobody’s mentioned to you that they stopped matching glory rank in comp a couple of seasons ago. They went for somewhat of a more traditional skill matching rather than glory matching so at times you'll definitely Mismatch of glory. Some people can get to mythic and legend and still not be that skillful at the game, maybe they got carried or just played enough to win enough. some people may only be at fable to mythic but have a really good skill rating. it’s supposed to level things out because when it was only glory-based matchmaking it didn’t really work that well

This is why dislike the current form of comp SBMM, most games I play are really lopsided. I think that they really need to tighten the brackets to create more balanced game.

Yeah same here tried to get handcannon kills for the Luna quest .. got 11 in 4 matches .. not the kind of microprogression I was looking for -.- seems as if my quick play “skill” counts here ?

I hear you. I'm at 110, my teamates were 200 and 400 .... we were 'matched' with a team all of which were 5500. One member in the top 2000 worlwide. Ummm, I like a challenge but that's absurd. Matchmaking is clearly not working

It's all about difference in scale. We need a chance to win to truly learn. Nothing like stepping into a match having no chance to win, wonder what happened and say WTF I need this why? Last time I looked, this is a game, to have fun. No fun, no game, well .... bye!!
