Stay back and stay calm. Shoot the head. It's simple. Oh, and stay with your team.

Edited by ShadowReeveX: 10/21/2014 6:40:42 PMKeep your distance and have the Red Death perk. If you are a Hunter, have the blade dancer with hungering blade perk and blink strike cooldown then just aim for the head. I've dominated games this way.

I haven't tried to use it in PvP. Once I started getting decent guns and getting away from auto rifles I just stuck with Scouts/Shotty combo. I know this doesnt help you with red death....but I just have a terrible time using pulse rifles.

It gets outclassed in just about everything other than impact and reload. It's my favorite weapon, but in the crucible it's just not so great against everything else that has more range over it.

1 Replyi tried red death for awhile, i didnt really like it but here's how i made it work somehow. dont engage in close quarters if you are using this weapon, unless you have a shotgun or a fusion rifle, as much as possible keep your distance from your enemy, mid range and long range battles will give you the upper hand most of the time, aim for the neck so atleast 3 or 2 bullets will connect to the head. also retreat if both of you and your enemy are raining bullets at each other and the first 3 burst didnt connect, you will surely die if you went for the 4th burst because red death isnt fast when it comes to rate of fire, specially when your enemy is pretty decent in gunfights.

2 RepliesEdited by Murgen23: 10/21/2014 8:06:48 AMKeep a decent distance from people, because you have the disadvantage of low fire rate compared to all those auto rifle scrubs. Do this and aim for the head, red death hits like a mule. You can kill in 3 bursts, generally. Don't worry about the recoil, because it's almost non-existent with red death.

1 Replybest advice i can give you when using pulse rifles is just to aim at the chest area, that way, when recoil kicks in, you can get a few heads shots from it.
