idk if its just me but does this game revolve around keeping you playing 24/7, to bring u back over and over just to get the Rarest loot/naterials in the game, or rank up in a group/faction/event
-
Its weird, I find myself with nothing to do but for some reason I can't put the controller down lol. Best part of the game for me is the raid and weekly nightfall.
-
Yes most defenintly i have over 300hours logged a 29 titan 26 warlock and 26 hunter and still ranking up cant put it down for shit
-
3 RepliesNot even close.... my hardest game addiction is and will always be Legend of Mana for the ps1. I seriously have clocked over 500 hours on that game and the only reason why I still don't play is because of my busted ps2.
-
2 RepliesDestiny is a great game (IMO). But EVE online stole 6 years of my life (+20bucks a month) I was truly addicted. Destiny is my time waster, nothing more, nothing less.
-
Get is it. Love it so much. Great work BUNGIE!
-
Not even by a long shot. The only reason I play at all anymore is because its the only damn game a friend of mine plays. Personally I'm bored of my mind with Destiny, and will probably move on once some new stuff starts coming out.
-
So like a glorified facebook game :/
-
My friends and I keep saying we'll do Titanfall sometime but we always log onto Destiny.
-
More so even than WoW, since there is less content as of yet.
-
It is by far the most addicting game I have ever played, more than Diablo 3.
-
Yes but I don't know why
-
5 Replies190 hours so far. I'd say yes, yes it is. Second only to Skyrim.
-
I've put 200h + into DS2 in the first 2 weeks, that was adictive as bacon !!! Destiny: just passed 100h in 4 weeks, so not the most adictive
-
lmao No... not even close.
-
2 RepliesYes, I only play Destiny.. Why? you ask! It's my only game for PS4 :(
-
idk if its just me but does this game revolve around keeping you playing 24/7, to bring u back over and over just to get the Rarest loot/naterials in the game, or rank up in a group/faction/event
"Addictive"

10 RepliesEver heard of a Skinner Box? If not, look it up, and when reading about it, imagine instead of a lab rat, it's you and instead of a box, its Destiny. To be fair, most MMOs are Skinner boxes, but Destiny doesn't even try to hide it. Bungie just took all of the mechanics from MMOs that make them addictive, slapped them on an FPS, and called it a day. I am strangely ok with that.
-
23 Repliesa real gamer knows this game is shit. only FPS addicts who are narrow-minded and don't play other kinds of games could possibly say this is the "most addicting game ever"
-
1 ReplyWoW was far more addicting
-
2 RepliesBorderlands 2. That game was cocaine. Before that for me was Halo 3, Fallout 3, and MW2.
-
Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and the Mass Effect series all because of replay value. I played the crap out of The Last of Us multiplayer. But I do play Destiny because I'm bored and everyone is playing it. I may have put in 3 days of game time but it's mostly mindless farming. I'm not putting much effort into it like the other games.
-
3 RepliesWoW hands down.. created relationship problems. I would of rather stay home and play then hang out with friends.
-
Destiny is pretty bad for me. It's like an abusive relationship. I kinda hate the game, and I don't want to give Bungie my money because of how much of a let down this game was to me, but I know, even if I say I won't, that I'll be buying the dlc. Fùck me. Although my most addicting console game by far was champions of Norrath, return to arms. I quit my job for that game. I was in high school and it was only part time, but still, I quit a fückin job for it.

Hi, my name is Shroom and I'm a recovering Diablo 2 addict. It was a dark time in my life, and I'm just glad Diablo 3 came out and ruined my perception of Blizzard in time to save my soul.
-
It was only addictive fun till I hit level 25ish. Then I got bored of the grind and only play when friends are on.
-
Pet theory: Destiny community made up of 2 major groups. 1) FPS players (huge Halo/bungie fans) 2) RPG/MMO players. 1st group seems to be well satisfied with amount of content, gameplay, while a little pissed about the RNG and grindiness. 2nd group feels exceptionally let down with ease of game and lack of content while completely fine with RNG and grinding (the norm). I'm biased towards group #2 and any number of games were more addictive (wow, eq, mass effect 3 mp). But it hits the "gotta level up" need well enough. I'm on the fence about the game.
