No, unfortunately the incentive only works for upgrades to a next gen console, not downgrades. The workaround if you want both would be to cancel your Xbox One preorder and preorder the Xbox 360 version instead. For more information see the FAQ here.

 • I agree with everyone else that this upgrade should work in reverse. I was very excited about the game and preordered/preloaded it on Xbox One, however, I still have some friends who have Xbox 360 only, and I'd like to be able to play with them. I don't understand why I shouldn't get the same exact benefit as an Xbox 360 buyer, when I paid the same price for the game. Since I had already preordered the game, by the time I found out about this promotion, it was too late to do anything about it, and Microsoft wouldn't cancel my purchase because it was already release day. If I could have, I would have cancelled the preorder on Xbox One and instead purchased on Xbox 360. So what's the difference? My license should be able to exist on both consoles as I have paid the same exact price for the product. This is very frustrating.

 • Thanks, I was afraid that was the case. Too bad I can't cancel digital preorder.

 • Maybe you're right, the servers get updated daily. So what will be 3am for you will be 10am for me considering I'm in the Uk. Should I wait till10am tomorrow or go out in three hours to get it at 12. I think I might wait. Decisions decisions.

 • Also it seems that the 360 version will be released digitally at a later date. There is no mention of a release date and Bungie and Activision are being very quiet about it.

 • Most AAA titles have been releasing digitally same date on 360 for almost a year. I'd expect it anytime after 3am eastern but wouldn't be surprised if it came later in the day Tues.
