Main problem is that it require a area with massive players count. Now we don't play on bungie's servers but servers manage who get to be the host and to which host players should connect. For only this they must put up the infrastructure to connect to a dedicated server. But how many? 1? So can we get that one server here in Europe? Many around the world? So now they must find physical place to put the server and pay bills there. Not to mention all the development behind your suggestion. How much are you willing to pay for this?

Edited by Lord Evil: 8/17/2014 9:40:54 PMNot necessarily. You would just need to randomly run into other players. It should actually be rather seldom that you see others. That would build up the suspence. The current method of how you meet people in the wild is similar to this. The only large change I could see is that once you see another player, you would have to stay on the same server so you can hunt them.

On a map you have only a maximum of few players make 2 fireteams and you are full. It turns out in just a PvP match. Take 5 ppl patrolling map entrances and it's just a slaughter. And if slaughter can bring something good be 100% sure this will be done. To leave a instance you must leave the section of the map, there is no random host change. And if I leave a map and you are following me I could be sent to a host where I full last spot so you can't enter same host if you zone yourself Lastly this zone must be totally out of PvE zone and you must only drop gear you can already drop in PvP. PvE players will leave PvP players be but this thing must be shared. If I want to focus on PvE I must not be shoot down by other players cuz for enter the strike I need to pass in a PvP zone

Good points. While I am not a perfesional at network connections and this sort of thing, one of my majors is computer science. So I think I can somewhat helpful. First off, as I said, I think running into other players should be I bit rare. This helps build suspence. It would also help with networking. Additionally, while these problems should be addressed, I think none of them are insurmountable. Bungie is really good at their server management and networking.

The solution is the server like MMO that bring us back to previously problem. I didn't tell that you needed that for no reason
