The issue here is that the game is supposed to be hard, thus more competitive. We, bungie/halo fans, want it to be more like halo but not so much that it is halo. Just the competitiveness. We don't want another crap CoD, or a project 1 Titan Fall. We want Destiny and bungie has made fantastic competitive games in the past. But now that bungie has moved on from halo and onto Destiny, we all as fans must trust Bungie to do as they always have and create yet another hard, competitive, skillful game like they always have. Trust in bungie my friend. In time you will figure out if Destiny is or isn't your game.

  • I dont think that by impairing your ability to make subtle aiming adjustments is the right way to make the game "challenging". Want it more challenging? Then tone down or remove aim assist but don't cripple me! It doesnt make sense !

  • They didn't do it to make it hard. It's just how they have always made games. And for us who have played all those games. We love it. It's just a mechanic you got to get used to. Maybe go back and play halo if you haven't played in a while. Or if you haven't played any halo at all then I can see why it's so tough for you.

Mate, the deadzones have never been in any Halo games. I only play Halo, that is why this is an issue. Skill is being crippled, and this mechanic has never been in any game made by Bungie prior to this one. The person you're addressing has probably played Halo, and this isn't tough for anybody. It's an annoying unnecessary mechanic that is in the game with no option to turn off. It's not a lack of skill either. From everyone I've talked with, it's always the better player that is annoyed by this since they are aware of how they react and how a game is supposed to work. This is why I proposed the option to remove it. It generally doesn't affect the casual player, but it's still crippling. Destiny isn't supposed to be the next big game on the MLG circuit, but these sort of options will only benefit it. I understand that they are trying to make the game difficult, but handicapping players is not the way to do it. It makes no sense.

  • Maybe it's because it's an ADS style game. And honestly I'd prefer it not to be. I like the way halo is. But really I had no problem with drift guard. Maybe it's cause I played 5 sensitivity on both games. I'm not sure where exactly your issue lies but mechanics won't be changed very much if at all in the full game.

CoD games and Titanfall (with the removal) don't have this. I'm sure it's not in Battlefield either but I haven't played it. I don't think ADS has anything to do with it. Like I said, this isn't a critical issue, it's just an annoying and dumb mechanic. The game can be played, but it would be better without it. I play on high sensitivities across all the games, so this affects me more than the average person since I have to barely touch my thumbsticks to make adjustments. The problem is, that these aren't registered because of the mechanic. To combat this, players will need to play on much lower or much higher sensitivities, both of which have their large disadvantages with little actual advantages to balance them out. Basically I think the game would be better if people could move/aim in game the way they want to/are capable of without the need to alter their playstyles.

  • Keep in mind that a player advantage is the opposite of "balanced". If it's not fixed I'm sure you'll get used to it and eventually not even realize it. If it is fixed well then problem solved.

  • Exactly what cryphon said ! I like playing higher sens and with this, its very unforgiving. Ive played avidly all of the halos and that I want this to be fixed doesnt mean Im struggling at the game. I managed a 2.40 kdr on my hunter even after letting my gf play on my acct several times, so it simply is annoying.
