Update - Destiny Year One Art Contest
With the recent announcement of the Destiny Year One Art Contest I'm going to revisit these designs and do some polishing up as well as creating some more shirt designs based off hunter cloaks. I spent a lot of time on Destiny getting as many of the best looking cloaks that I possibly could across all the expansions and I feel this could tie in perfectly with what I was working on here.
Thank you everyone for the support and I'll keep things updated here as needed!
Original Post:
After having a lot more spare time now that the Destiny Beta has completed I continued with an idea that I had about 6 months ago of taking Hunter cloak design concepts and turning them in to T-Shirts.
Because let's face it, who wouldn't want to be able to wear some of the awesome cloak designs?
Currently I've created some shirt designs (mostly based on in-game cloaks) that you can view via the links provided. Below is a list of the current ones that have been created.
A Guardian Rises - based on the Tower banners
Cloak of Perception
First in Flight - based on the nameplates given out for playing the Destiny Beta.
Legend Rising - based on the nameplates given out for stress testing the Destiny Beta server capacity.
Astrolord Cloak
Cloud Walker Tribute
Cosmic Joke
Cult/Trinary Star
Dead Zone Revolution
Legend of Six Coyotes
Mantle of Gheleon
Quantum-Phoenix Blue
Strength of the Pack
Venom of Ikaheka
The Seventh Truth - based on an old Hunter cloak concept art
I've also begun working on creating wristbands based on some of the Warlock bonds found throughout the game. Below is the current list of the ones I've completed.
"Phantom Wisdom"
Skorri's Iron Bond
And I've also started working on bandannas based on the Titan Marks (meant to be worn in the back pocket and function similarly to a Mark). Current list of completed ones is below.

I've sent a message to Bungie's media email and am waiting for a reply as to ensure creating these, or crowdfunding them, would not infringe on their copyrights. Thanks for the support!
LINK UPDATE: After many days of work I've finally been able to convert some of the T-shirt designs to Spreadshirt along with creating posters and phone cases (no sweatshirts as of yet since Spreadshirt charges a lot for them). I've begun working with 2 others in creating a project called Frontierr which seeks to bring video game inspired content to life while benefiting charity. We've decided that for the very little amount of proceeds we receive on our creations from Spreadshirt and Redbubble that we will donate all of this to the Child's Play Charity. I know that these shirts and designs are not the same as the concepts posted here, I had aimed way too high for something that would cost too much money and time for everyone involved. This is definitely a more down-to-earth attempt in creating something awesome that costs much less and helps a good cause. Without the support I've received here on the bnet forums this wouldn't have ever happened. Despite the disappointment if you're still interested you can click here to visit Frontierr.
Thank you guys again, I can't wait to see were this takes us!
Activision Shutdown: Well I guess this is where the journey ends. Not even 24 hours after the launch of Frontierr and the Guardian Collection (to which all proceeds were donated to Child's Play) Activision has contacted us and stated that we are infringing upon their property. I'm working with DestinyDispatch now to see if there's any way to get permission to continue forward. Until then the website (http://frontierr.net), Spreadshirt, and Redbubble have been frozen. Most of the email can be read here: http://puu.sh/aObKr.txt
Thanks again everyone, it's a shame things didn't work out better.

Those are sick. Keep trying cause I want one bad

Has Deej seen any of this or made a comment? I mean, this stuff is really sweet and id likely buy atleast 3 or 4 shirts with these designs. Hopefully somebody sees this and contacts you with further information.
-
Damn. Sweet shirts tho.

Not trying to defend Activision or anything, but sometimes corporations have to stuff like this even if they don't want to. Not sending a cease and desist would set a precedent that could later be referenced in the defense of someone profiting off the infringement of Activision/Bungie's IP. Bethesda had to do something similar 2(?) years ago. It's more of a preventative measure than anything. Sucks. That was some cool stuff and for a good cause.
-
You could argue that DeeJ gave you permission to do it in the second to last paragraph of the Artists Reference Portal news update....just sayin
-
Are any of these for sale?
-
Curse you Activision!!!
-
Man this is bunk, eventhough they have every right to do that, i bet theyre just jealous that they didnt come up with the Noble's idea first

1 ReplyEdited by Doc SoCal: 8/11/2014 7:55:32 PMSorry to hear that but as soon as money is changing hands using someone else's I.P. It was inevitable. Charity or not, the lawyers would never let is happen. It is too bad. Heroic effort, nonetheless. Kudos

-
Awe that sucks. Woulda got a few.
-
-blam!-ing Bullshit.
-
I'm sorry, it was worth a try.
-
Warlock bonds as beer/soda coozies would be awesome. I'd buy them all. The bracelets/bands look cool, but at my age, there's no way I'd leave the house with one on.

Sorry about that, Activision sucks. Thats why I'm sad Destiny is produced by them. They are a terrible company. I hate them with a burning passion.
