I just read the issue and, I'm not going to lie, this is actually one of the best issues IMO. Reed did a good job with developing Thorne and Grant, they're my two favourite Majestic members by far and I really felt like I was able to connect with them here.
Hope Reed can keep it up with the Master Chief arc, he's off to a good start.

Edited by ROBERTO jh: 6/25/2014 3:38:30 PMMaybe comics are just his thing, he seems to excel at them and not so much at other mediums. Then again initiation did happen....so maybe he's learning. Lets hope

It seems that whenever he's not dealing with a character that's Palmer of Halsey, Reed does a really great job...

I thought his depiction of Halsey was pretty good. Way better than Travis's anyway who made her out to be a villain.

In Spartan Ops, she was written really well - definitely. It's just when the other characters talk about her that it falls back into that Traviss-esque trap, thankfully Thorne was a breath of fresh air there since he was interested in finding things out for himself rather than just going with what ONI had fed people.

I'm not bothered that most Characters hate her. She's ONI's patsy. It was only annoying In the Travis books because you could tell the author hated her guts as much as the characters did.

Thrones conversation with Halsey was pretty good. Palmer I think is the problem. His treatment of Halsey wasn't too offensive, and even the main character was willing to hear her side of the story. Halsey was depicted as she should be: resourceful, intelligent and the only person with a clue as to what's going on. Hell I actually thought Palmer was depicted as a brash idiot next to Halsey's intelligence. Take Palmer out of the equation and he's pretty good. Still prefer Chris sclearf though...
