A gaming laptop is probably not the best thing for school.
Most of them are very large and heavy. Carrying around that sort of weight sucks.

I'm a weight lifter so weight doesn't scare me that much. I'm really looking for something that will work for most of my needs, and if I can do school and play games with one computer at the cost of a little bit more weight, I'm willing to take the extra weight.

the fact that you can lift a lot doesn't mean that you won't get tired from lugging a 20 pound laptop around all day. that isn't to mention the weird stares you'll get from your classmates and the fact that few professors will take you seriously.
