Seems like a poor reason to bring back the ship.

Bringing back a ship we haven’t seen since Halo Wars all those years ago... just to appear in a memoir- adding more questions than answers did not do justice.

It's a narrative seed for the future. The Flood's return is going to be the most momentous event in the galaxy's history since the firing of the Halos, and the SoF is evidently the catalyst for fulfilling the prophecy of a primordial god. It's something we're inevitably going to return to, and perhaps even sooner than we think.

I suppose... but I the flood remains on other parts of the galaxy (I don’t know why there would not be any on Delta Halo)... but perhaps... I hope they do justice to it.

Installation 05's surface was glassed, the Flood there were wiped out. Installation 07 has a some dozen dormant Proto-Graveminds on it, but the ring is shrouded over with a perpetual cloud cover which means they cannot escape. There's been no outbreak on installation 03 as of yet, and we haven't found Installations 01, 02, and 06.

Ghosts of Onyx, I believe.

Ah, Cheers for the clarification.

Better than nothing, and, now we have some pretty intense foreshadowing. I think it's comparable to Halo 3's ending.
