Have they found the Spirit of Fire or not?
If they have not, wake me whenever the hell they do.

Nope. Getting close.

They really need to end this storyline then. It's gone on for 30+ years in the Halo canon, and it honestly feels like they've just decided to drag it out for as long as humanly possible.
it honestly feels like they've just decided to drag it out for as long as humanly possible.
That is the point. It's a huge part of the Halo universe, something that warrants a great deal of build-up to make the pay-off more satisfying. Storytelling 101.

Meh. Guess I would've preferred it in novel/game form. Not comics. Just feels weak.

Oh, I totally agree there. The story is really strong but it's being let down by the medium, never been a particular fan of comics myself. Would've made a much better novel anthology, like Halo: Evolutions.

I think that's the point. It's suspense.

Not really in my book. Then again, I've never been a fan of the Halo comic's series and storyline.

It's sort of like Game of Thrones and dragons. George R. R. Martin promises them, but all you get is floppy wieners.

I get that you're referencing southpark, but there have been dragons in GoT since the end of the first season.
-
I know, IIRC, they were referring to the full grown dragons in action.

Never read/watched it.

You're not a South Park fan either then, eh?

Nope.
