So, what's stopping them from just walking around the mines?
English
-
...Nothing other than the assets that have been tasked with covering said minefield. The point of a minefield is to funnel enemy forces into a vulnerable point or block/slow down enemy forces in said minefield. If the enemy is fumbling around in a minefield than they are extremely vulnerable to the defenders.
-
They literally just threw the mines on top of the grass, that's not that hard to work around.
-
You are completely missing the point of the demonstration, the mines would be used to deny the enemy passage or hidden in tall grass, the simulation is literally just showing you how they are dispersed with the system.
-
>Blow them all up to make a line through the minefield >Burn the grass. I win.
-
Try doing that with the guys who are tasked with protecting said minefield...
-
Well, it's not like they can get to you. After all, there is a minefield in front of them.
-
...They have things called guns that can shoot long distances.
-
And the enemy doesn't?
-
Sure they do! But they just stepped into a mine field, makes things a bit more complicated! Thats why I mentioned before that minefields are good at funneling/making enemies go where you have the advantage. Treat the minefield as its own prepared position where the defenders have set up kill zones.
