I feel so safe now. Thank you govt. Kinect is useless to me since I have this thing called a controller. I refuse to buy one because I don't want it. The fact that it's a high powered camera and mic, connected to the Internet, aimed at my living room, and always listening was just a creepy side note.

  • I like how it's used for the Xbox One. Being able to do things like turn on the system and launch a game without interrupting whatever else I'm doing is pretty cool. I'm not a big fan of it being used to monitor everyone, but it seems like that possibility hasn't materialized just yet. As a lot of other people have pointed out, there are quite a few devices we use all the time that would be more useful.

Meh I will always prefer using a controller. Pushing a button to turn on a console just doesn't seem like a problem that needs to be solved or simplified to me. Especially for $100. But I get that other people will go for it. As for other devices. No doubt this is now a common thing. I was not implying it's something unique to kinect. Difference being the kinect is of a much higher quality and better positioning than say most phone or laptop cameras. But like I said that isn't what is preventing me from getting a kinect.
