I am entitled to do what i like!. How dare the cops pull me over, let alone the Mods ban me for improper conduct!. I mean I am so Huge on Bungie.Net every one knows my name!. Its like Cheers!... Now i have to show outrage as i am so flustered that we cannot have utter chaos and act like heathens! How Dare the Ninjas! ... I mean real people were complaining that things had gotten out of control but yes lets go back to..to..whats the word..*Listens to them ramble ramble ramble..Common Sense is not here lets leave the Op and the Drama here.*

  • cool sarcasm but no. the amount of chaos hasn't rose that much since bungie.old. the only added chaos has been political/ religious debates, but they eventually died down after a while(before ninja justice). Plus, i think you're missing the point. i'm saying mods should only ban for the really offensive stuff.

  • You are missing the point. People got tired of the drama llamas and the grey area being too wide. Thus they wanted to see a little more enforcement on the rules. Its not close to what old b.net standards were. If i were you just keep away from stuff that is a no brainer to post and post about the stuff that a normal game site would have. You are by no means restricted from how you discuss certain topics or what good topics to post. People forget the mods are doing what the Majority of people are wanting. Its working since the complaints about too much. Quite a few people left due to the site not being what it was in the past. People have to look at the greater good. If the so called friends are getting you in trouble and them thus it repeats its not the fault of the system as these rules are on just about every website. So if you cannot have a civil discussion you should sit in time out like a kid till you understand that some areas are taboo. If you do not go out saying this stuff in real life do not do it on the internet. People are dumb when others get tired of seeing it over and over again. Thus thats where the admins/ninjas come in to regulate the site. Most of it is automated. It sends it to the Ninja. Ninja investigates. So Ninja is Judge Dredd. Now if you want to appeal to other people then by all means do so but i think a balance has been struck as the Stuff that sucks and COC protects everyone and people feel encouraged to have fun and enjoy B.net. Now if you stay away from the people that are trying to give you bad habits and ideas, you might stumble through here like i have and get to know some amazing people who are positive. Protip: Don't troll it makes you look bad and Zero cool.

  • just because my views are different from yours does not mean i'm trolling. and like i said i have yet to be banned by the ninjas. it's not like i'm not capable of obeying the rules. if you've seen me post you would know i'm a pretty civil guy. i think it's my fault of wording this thread the wrong way. by semi-anarchy i don't mean chaos. i don't, by no means, want things thrown in chaos. just thought self moderation was better when it came to smaller offensives, then to ban/get ban for small stuff. i really liked the original concept for the new site. does that make me a troll?

I did not imply you were a Troll. Stating, trolling not cool ? I am up front about such things. Well now the problem is if you know people or have 1000 alts and you get banned quite a bit what does this tell you ? You might have not been banned but you know someone who has. Thus the point of this thread. If you are advocating for people who should know better than apparently they will learn or keep repeating the same thing thus creating the same situation. Self moderation only works so far. An outcry sprang up from a majority of B.net users, on the laxness of the Ninja's enforcement after the change over from B.net old to B.next. I have seen less trolls and real discussion. This means for the Greater good it has been effective. Most Ban's are self inflicted. If a sign says don't poke the tigers and you do as they rip your arm off who is at fault ? The groundskeeper ? You are at fault. Just here some one gets reported and Ninja is dispatched to investigate. Thus applies Ninja justice when it needs it. I hear its more automated and the Ban hammers drop silently. Best to ask a Ninja but from what i have seen COC and Stuff that Sucks should never be violated. People were just being antisocial as it would have gotten worse. It is still very loose compared to Old.Net. So i think this level of moderation is working well. Don't You ?

Don't You ?[/quote] actually sorta. i'm fine with the INTENDED amount of moderation. it's just some of the ninjas get ban happy or over edit posts. but yea i do agree it's way better than bungie.old. not trying to say all ninjas are bad. you do have cool ones like recon, TU, bobcast and predator.

It's not a perfect system and the Ninjas know what they are doing. They are not rookies but it is human nature to make mistakes so often. Sometimes they can be fixed. Sometimes not. Thing of it is that if its doing good just keep the faith. I think that humans could learn to be a little more tolerant so, others do not have to look over the shoulder to make sure they are playing nice with the other kids.
