Good, a couple more Spartans back in the fight. I was really starting to wonder if everyone on the writing team had forgotten about the Spirit of Fire. Been a looooong time since Halo Wars.
Ohhh what about Serina? I hope she deleted herself (can they do that?) before she went rampant.

I have to say Tea, it's been awhile since we had a debate or discussion regarding Halo. But my impression of you was that you disliked the new Halo and despised 343i (Not saying you don't, but I felt it was significantly more intense in the past). Here and there I've seen your posts recently and they don't reflect that impression at all. So whether or not my memory is wrong, just want to say I'm glad you're giving a more objective view on Halo.

I love Halo, and I probably always will. I enjoy the lore and the universe, but I question some of the ways they choose to.... roll out some of that story? Even though I had read quite a few Halo books, I got pretty lost pretty quickly when playing the campaign. It took several playthroughs and looking up the terminals (which you can't see in-game... one of the problems I have with 343i. Why do I need to go to your website to view content that you could have put in-game?? Sounds like a pretty shitty way to get people to use Waypoint more.) to fully understand it. I think the story could of benefited from a more cautious, slower approach. Why was the Covenant hostile again? Didn't we have a truce with the Elites? I knew the answer, since I read the books, but what about the other people who didn't read? The campaign did nothing (and Spartan Ops did little) to answer that question. Where's the Arbiter? Surely he could help resolve this situation with the Elites and get them to stand down? Oh wait.... these Elites hate the Arbiter. Didn't know that until I read the books. I still think 343i could of handled the story a little better. All in all, I was overreacting and jumping the gun a bit. I've had time to settle down and look at the whole picture. I'm not overly fond of the maps in Halo 4, or the "weapon drop" system they put in. Some of the armor designs (on the Spartan IVs) are pretty hideous, even after a year of looking at them. I much prefer the older armor models, and I don't think it's nostalgia fogging my view either. That's just personal opinion. I know some people who really like the new armor designs, so I guess I can't fault 343i for that. Everyone has their own taste. I really do like the new Elite Zealot armor though. Really ramps up the creepy alien look. Is Halo 4 a bad game? No. Is 343i a bad developer? No, of course not. I just hope they learned from some of the things they did wrong and use that knowledge to help make Halo 5 a better Halo game.

They originally did have it planned that the Terminals would be accessible in the campaign directly, but due to issues with disk space they had to be taken off.

Yeah, Admirals mentioned that. Didn't know that. I'm guessing they'll avoid that problem in Halo 5. I don't really like using Waypoint. Last time I went there, there was so much going on that I got a bit lost. I'm more used to Bungie's simple design.

Yeah, I really hate Waypoint's UI - it was hard enough actually finding the place where you view the H4 Terminals because you have to go into your campaign stats first. :/

Mmm... I appreciate your objectivity greatly. Also, the whole deal with the Domain Terminals is that they were added too late into the game. By the time they were finished, there was no room to store the videos themselves on the disc. Thankfully Xbox One uses Blu-Ray, so there shouldn't be any disc shortages for an future Halo games for a long time. I do disagree with you on a few points, but again, I'm very glad you've taken a more objective stance. Here's to 343i improving on their past mistakes.
