I have a feeling that strikes will be the [i]go-to[/i] mode for people that want a quick in and out experience. Plus, I imagine that the more you play, the easier/quicker it is to access competitive multiplayer. My impression is that the "real" point of the interview was that grinding competitive multiplayer and bypassing the story-mission won't lead to great success. Destiny is campaign co-op driven.

I am definitely interested to see how this will play out. When they first said it, I imagined the Pay Day 2 game selection screen and shuddered a little bit. Just a terrible layout for what they were trying to do. However, I am sure that we just don't quite understand and that it will all make sense with time.
