Do like you said and get a Nexus 10.
With 440$ you'll be able to pay for it pretty much in full and it's a far superior tablet.

Does it have a digitizer? I wouldn't use a tablet without one. I would probably save it and buy a Lenovo X230t later.

Nope. Is a pen an absolute requirement? Do you need the advanced functions they give or just the basic ones?

I can't see myself using a tablet without the ability to take notes. It wouldn't fill a role that I need.

Hand written notes? Have you tried a micro-fiber stylus before?

Edited by HurtfulTurkey: 10/25/2013 10:35:18 PMNo, do they work without a digitizer?

Edited by ABotelho: 10/25/2013 10:50:25 PMYup. They aren't like those rubber ones which have a whole bunch of friction that rub against your screen. They're micro-fiber, so they glide across the screen better than a finger, and they're far more responsive than rubber styluses as well. Link is an example. You can also go for something like this, which is what I use. Excellent for switching between paper and tablet. And of course, they don't have all those fancy features the S-pen has.
