A Day with Playstation (how Sony wins Nextgen)

This trailer has: Deep Down, Vita, Vita remote PS4 play (from anywhere with Wi-Fi!), Vita TV playing PSN titles and watching movies, PS4 streaming and share buttons. Basically, just the interactions between PS products and the users. Sony has really stepped up since the PS3 days. Especially in the marketing department. Now I just need to find me some more attractive friends and I'll be set.

  • I think it's kinda funny that they're pulling out this very japanese-sided ad when The PS4 doesn't release in Japan until late February. But the video really doesn't show anything that impressive over the competition other than the Vita streaming. Microsoft is also offering video recording and sharing, streaming through Twitch, and bluray playback. Even then, the Vita playback isn't really a selling point unless you already own a Vita, and the streaming service for it won't even be up and going until some point in 2014 in the US, and an unspecified time in Europe. It's a good ad, and it shows some of the cool stuff available on Sony's side this gen, but it doesn't at all win Sony this generation in the console wars. Not by a longshot.
