The entire LCS class is badass. I prefer the [i]Independence[/i] class of LCS though. The versatility of the two types of ships is incredible. It can minesweep, support, control airspace, etc. with the various mission packages available.

    Naming a ship after a person with a questionable set of accomplishments worth having a ship named for her. For comparison, there is no other person-named boat in the [i]Freedom[/i]-class, and in the [i]San Antonio[/i]-class (only other new class of non-carrier surface ships being built that I know of) the only person-named boat is the [i]John P. Murtha[/i].
