I don't think I understood any of that. Too edgy-ish or something.
My town is less than 2,000 people. My graduating class was under 120 people, 31 years ago. None of what was in that video pertains to anything I would recognize here daily.
Even the city we live just 10 minutes from, the 2nd largest in the state, sure things are always changing and expanding, but I never darken the doorways of places that look like what that vid had in it.
I'd say the only thing I have noticed killing of the old neighborhoods is strip malls.

I like strip malls. Wish my old town had one. I had to drive 20 minutes just to go grocery shopping.
