Its called drawing parallels, you obviously didn't read it very well.
I compared it to the Gulf war and expanded that to how a hypothetical conventional war would be fought today.
ALSO the battle of Stalingrad and the pocket took place in 1942-1943 not 1945.
I said 1945 because of the end of WW2. I wasn't referring to any specific event in WW2.
Making parallels to over 67 years ago doesn't work when your argument is about modern combat.
...Yes it does. The tactics we used in the Gulf War are based exactly off Germans blitzkrieg tactics.
Hell one Bradley commander had a picture of Erwin Rommel in the back of a Bradley and explained to a captured Iraqi Colonel that if he knew anything from Erwin Rommel he wouldn't be sitting in the back of his vehicle, because thats whose tactics they used.
You aren't understanding what i just said.
The tactics we used in the Gulf War are exactly based off of the blitzkrieg in World War 2. SO yes in a way we do fight the same way.
Todays wars are a bit different because they aren't conventional.
On here i am drawing parallels to a HYPOTHETICAL modern war that could happen tomorrow and what we would do.
