This takes way to long to earn enough to buy things when you are charging 250 a pop on things. Please reduce the cost.

You need to grind for at least 1000 hours and run maybe 2500 strikes or Nightfalls and maybe you get enough shards to upgrade your exotic armour! If the RNG are on your side that is. Right now a Nightfall Vanilla or Hero will grant you two legendary shards for one run. And if you are lucky you get a low level garbage piece that you can junk anyway! You get the most if you have the season pass, then you get a bonus. And do not forget the ghost mods as well! -
1 ReplyIt's catch 22. People who are new have very few, people who have being playing for aged have a tone (I have like 27000), who do you satisfy? Either way it is not ideal for someone.

7 RepliesImho: all New Lights / retuning lapsed Guardians (say, after 6 months) should receive a Starter Pack of materials including shards. This would enable them to get a leg up - at Xur’s weekly store, and brighten their games up for them. Seeing stuff in the window with an empty purse ain’t fun. Besides, just imagine how many potential Guardians just left the game because they weren’t able to put in the hours (grrrrind) to do stuff to get stuff to buy stuff? 🤖 It’s another no brainier, imho… 😵💫 Cheers!

There is a simple solution for all the people with "tooo much" shards! Let people pay out their noses for trails and raids! You want a chance for a flawless card in Trails against a L77T team of opponents and no couch potatoes? Well that will net you 10 000 shards each match You want a grandmaster nightfall or raid? 20 000 shards That would balance out the rich from the poor quite fast! And the 1% can keep sweating at the "shop" (IRONIC+) -
3 RepliesThe large costs are there as a way for people to burn the tens of thousands of legendary shards they have. Just play the game and earn the items you want.
-
1 ReplyI have 50k shards... you want some? Take 20k no prob

Dares of Eternity is honestly my favorite Dismantle Farming spot right now because I can hit up the chest with extra keys and coins Also it rotates out some of the harder to nab World Loot Weapons -
Yeah literally a rahool ask you to have 30 legendary shards for a single echmanent core not a prism a core and prisms cost 100 and it just overall cost so much for so little.
-
With over 40,000 shards had maybe 1000 when shadow keep came out and has grown massively since I don't feel your pain but its ppl like me that cost so much sorry
-
54 RepliesIt’s okay. The no-life strimmers have 10k+. That’s all we need to worry about. 😏

Did Vault Cleanouts with my friends went from ~400 to 1500, im now out after buying 4 eye of Sols (I think im up to 15 now without ONE with snapshot) and ascendant alloys… -
5 RepliesYeah you have to keep in mind that some players are making 500 shards a day. Others only 50.
-
Unless you have tens of thousands of legendary shards, don't waste your materials on any of the shard sinks in the game (essentially anything that costs 100+ legendary shards).
-
6 RepliesPlay the game and you'll drown in shards

Grind = Dismantle = Rinse and repeat = The Bungie way! Nothing anyone except Bungie can or won't do anything about! Imagine having no LShards, needing to upgrade Exotic Armour for THREE golfballs! That you either need to grind the sh*t out of the vendors or buying 10 enhancement cores to buy 1 Prism that you need 10 prism for to be able to buy ONE golfball Times 3 to get your armour up to snuff! -
2 RepliesWent from almost 19k to just over 5k since the DLC dropped lol.
-
Come on, every player in Destiny started here. That’s how it works with all the materials. Get to the hard cap or the soft cap if that’s where you’re happy at. Once you quit hoarding every piece of gear you accumulate break them down and stockpile the shards. Leveling eats your shard up but once your at level you’ll be surprised at how many you’ll stockpile.
-
I’d be for like a consumable like “shard stretcher” : gives a chance to double or triple dismantle and reward amounts.
-
This is on the wrong forum. It should be on the "How To Be An Accountant" forum.
-
Edited by hate n payne: 3/27/2022 10:03:46 PMIt’s usage rate is almost for everything. Collection weapon takeouts. Upgrading your Masterworks. Changing your energy type. Getting an vendor engram. They need to up the amount you get when dismantling weapons and this should include blue weapons. Up it to 15 legendary shards.
-
They do seem a little too expensive…
-
I actually agree with this. My stash has dropped about 4000 this season so far and I’ve been building up this stash slowly over the 4 year life of the game so far. I can’t imagine how a new player of returning player can even begin to think they can engage with those systems at the shard cost currently.
-
Yeah, these systems make the already confusing systems a new light has to learn worse. Gate keeping them on a remote chance to catch veterans.

27 RepliesThe problem is Bungie has balanced the economy around people who have been playing since the beginning and have massive piles of shards. The problem is further exacerbated by the fact that those people rarely need or want to purchase the things that cost that much so instead of draining those players (like Bungie loves to do) they continue hoarding, and it only hurts new or infrequent players.
