Master Lost Sectors are cancer and need to be reworked so exotics aren't horrible to farm

I'm 1575 (on level tbh, same delta), and despite running 2x arc resists and omni, I get one shot by any scorn sniper (yes with 2x void as well, fix the damn crossbow bug) or any knight with the arc boomer cannons. Farming even on legend is tedious and horrible cause overload on smgs and autos is just complete dogarse that never procs until you're dead already (aint no -blam!- using divinity in a solo run). Cya next season legend lost sectors, cause you're dogshit this time. Fix the -blam!- overload mod

  • I just wanna know why I'm doing two Legends Lost Sectors to drop an Exotic and doing MORE THAN FIVE Master Lost Sectors to drop an exotic. The RNG here just doesn't make any sense.

    In my experience I don’t think they are hard per say. But the overload champions are the worse, the constant dodging, the very strict window to do high burst damage, the quick recovery of health then dodging again. It’s very bad when we have to ramp up the smg/ar to stun them, then quick swap to heavy + special and if you didn’t kill them then you are “If you see ked “because he is going to regain his health and dodge away. When we had overload bow it was way better, I think that the champion just need some minor fix. Make the recovery window a bit bigger, or make it that we just need to aim are weapons to proc the overload. But hey the champion system as a whole is just too constricted and getting annoying.

    Overload mods are the worst offenders because of the ramp-up effect. Which isn't over the top crippling provided you kill off the ads before dealing the Overload itself. The biggest problem I've experienced is when Attrition and Overloads are in the same Lost Sector. Attrition forces you to take cover for an absurdly long time before your health comes back. Meanwhile, Overload Captains with tracking shots are locking on to you from behind cover, making challenging them almost impossible while you wait for the Overload effect to kick in. Overload Hobgoblins will start hitting you with volleys and regening their health while the Overload effect ramps up. Forcing you back into cover and allowing them to fully regen. Bonus points if a teleporting Barrier Servitor is making that Captain immune to damage. Overload ramp up mods need to die. Instant-stuns like Overload bow from the last season are far superior. Overload grenades can help, but have a cooldown (your grenade) and Div is trash for killing power. Warlocks really hit the jackpot with the new boots, fixes most of their problems with Overload Champions.

    • I disagree. I have all the Lost Sectors exotics and find it fun. How ever I have noticed that you have to be shooting an AR for a while before Overload Rounds kick in and 9/10 the Overload starts regening health. Problem is you shot. Then 2-3 seconds in you stun, empty the clip, but then you have to reload, then after that another 2-3 seconds before it stuns again. Leaving Overloads to get full health again. You don't notice this in any other activity cause there is other people shooting/stunning. But by God when you are alone and forced to use an AR or SMG, that reload THEN 2-3 seconds more before stun is hell if you have no heavy. It should be "Aiming down sights loads Overload rounds" not "Shooting consistently eventually loads Overload rounds". There should also be a drop protection. For some reason I got almost all my exotics on the first run. The others were on 2nd and 3rd. But I seen people do 38 runs and get nothing. Yes they killed all the champs.

    • I think master lost sectors should guarantee the exotic part. If you have had it a guarantee a arm exotic for example

      I don't really have many issues with completing LLSs or the issues with overload mods you seem to be having but maybe that's just because Osteo Striga can trigger overload on the poison damage making it way more reliable than most other SMGs/Autos, but I did post a thread yesterday about the one big issue I have with the current LLS system: the fact that there is only one available per day restricting what slot you are able to farm for on any given day. Sadly I guess I posted my thread at the wrong time of day and it didn't get any engagement despite the potentially massive benefit it would bring to the playerbase, so it ended up falling into the abyss of page 2 and so on, but if anyone reading this agrees with me that there should be multiple LLS each day (my idea would be 1 per destination, 4x targetted at the 4 different slots and 3 that don't target a specific slot but instead have a chance to drop more than one exotic on completion) then please go comment and upvote my thread here!: [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Forums/Post/260829990]EVERY destination should have a rotating daily Legendary Lost Sector [/url]

    • Scorn snipers are void and depending on the burn they can do more. Dont use overload smg or auto. Use secant filaments or overload grenades. May just be a skill issue too

      • Run legend with gally , 4 tries for the hunter arms , and first try with the warlock arms. Since legendary lost sectors have come out Barkris took me the longest at 10x . Every other exotic has been between 1-5.

        • Currently master lost sectors are only good for triumphs. You wanna farm, do legend. Yea, I know they say it's increased chance on master, but I've gotten more exotics from legend than master. And it's less frustrating.

            • I agree drop rates need to be fixed but as for being too hard yes some of the moon ones are anoying but i think its a case of looking at your loadout and your stats

            • I only do them for the triumphs or to grab the new armor and I’m done. Ghally is your best friend whn it comes to overloads tho. Stun and kill. But in Master you may need to use a finisher to get the job done.

              • I only made my Titan in season 11 so I had to get all the exotics form nightfalls. I don’t wish such torture on anyone. In comparison, lost sectors which allow us to target farm exotics of the desired armour piece type, are a blessing from god. Tell me, which would you prefer?
