TLDR: I have an emblem which unlocks from having 5k grimoire in destiny 1, if cheaters get banned on their main account they cannot re get this emblem, therefore people with this emblem should be able to play trials if the reason for the paywall is to combat cheaters. Cheaters (especially with paid cheats) can easily buy Witch Queen on another account but they can't get the emblem on a new account.
Posted something similar yesterday but all the replies are crabs in a bucket who think just because they paid for Witch Queen means that I should also have to pay for Witch Queen just to unlock a gamemode I was playing years before any of these players knew what the game was. I am NOT asking for a handout, I have played trials before multiple times and I dont expect any other content locked behind witch queen to be made available. I just think it's obvious that a certain demographic of players are the least likely to cheat, and if they cheat they are unlikely to be able to source another account within the same criteria.
Trials SHOULDNT be free for new accounts with 0 DLC and 1 hour playtime- OBVIOUSLY, I have over 1000 hours of playtime (destiny 2 - and probably similar amounts on destiny 1) and I also have the emblem for 5000 Grimoire in destiny 1 (destiny 2 emblem). Trials should be made free for the people in these categories of player because Bungie should value their returning old players (who are bored of these yearly paywalls -_-) and they should also value players who have put in over 1000 hours of playtime. No cheater is going to be able to create multiple accounts to cheat on within these criteria, however if they can afford to buy Destiny 2 cheats, then they can definitely afford to buy Witch Queen for a couple accounts. This is NOT a big ask at all.
On my last post I saw all these crabs in a bucket who think just because they paid for Witch Queen that means I should have to too, but I am not asking for any Witch Queen content, just asking to be treated like a valued player, so instead of any comments saying 'no' how about you explain the issue with allowing players with 1000 hours playtime and/or a Destiny 1 emblem (which you need 5k grimoire for and im pretty sure has been unobtainable for multiple years now) to play trials, are these the players are going to be cheating? Even if they are, they cant get a second account to match the same criteria, so whats the issue? Cheaters could easily buy Witch Queen on another account, do the campaign once and have 3 characters to take into trials in much less time than 1000 hours.

28 RepliesYou seem to be stubborn and persistent. Eventually, you will realize Bungie will not remove the Trials paywall for you.

Emblems don't matter. Trials is tied to the current major expansion to combat cheaters. You want to play trials buy the dlc.

2 RepliesFunny I played D1 as well but I still purchased witch queen. And as a D1 vet I don’t feel entitled to any current content for free. If you want to play then you gotta pay.

Boooo, freeloader!

Stop spamming dumb posts. Go buy some content.

2 RepliesWait. Bungie wants to earn money for a live service game and take a pvp mode to help them developing Destiny? Yea that morale conflict must change!
-
3 RepliesYou can’t play the game because you have not bought it. It’s as simple as that

Edited by piratepatchy243: 3/26/2022 11:50:18 AMLmao, making another post of the same -blam!- isn't going to produce the desired result. You are entitled nothing, btw I don't currently have WQ and have way more hours in the franchise. They won't give a single -blam!- of either of our time and money spent, it's simple pay or move on. This can only be explained so much, sadly it can't be comprehended for you so best of luck.

I mean if you have a job $40 shouldn't be much to enjoy your time off. Just like how $40 occasionally for take out isn't that bad. Just get it if you want to play trials that bad. Bungie isn't going to open it up just because some people are completely "F2P". Its not how you make a game last longer than a couple years after going free. There's going to be certain walls in free games no matter where you look.
