Game Crashing on Startup

My friends Destiny crashes on startup. The game will load, he will enter the game and after about 1 or 2 seconds in the game it will crash. The game keeps running if he does not enter it, and it will run until he closes it, it is just when he enters the game. We have tried: Reinstalling Updating Drivers Playing with all the settings Verifying the Files Changing the fullscreen settings Bunch more As said, the game runs. It just doesn't run when you go into it, which makes it next to useless. If anyone has had something similar please let me know.

    • Ever since the last hotfix, I've been having the same issue. Sometimes I make it to the character select, sometimes it crashes a couple seconds into the loading screen. Windows just gives me a generic "BAD_MODULE_INFO" (0xc0000005 a memory access violation) event and dumps it's stack, so it's not really anything I'm able to fix. Sometimes power cycling my pc "fixes" it for a time, but it seems to creep back. Doing some investigation of my own for this comes back with forum posts here and on steam telling people to disable the Shader Cache Size in the NVIDIA control panel, but that doesn't do anything for me. I've tried closing any software that Bungie's garbage anti-cheat might think is malicious (like the GeForce overlay and such) but that doesn't help either. I play games regularly as a hobby and Destiny's the only game, let alone program, that crashes in this manner. If anyone working on the game actually wants an event dump and DXDiag, I'd be happy to oblige, but I'm not holding my breath.

      • I have also encountered this issue. I have tried updating drivers, everything. Doesn't work.
