The gist of the issue- Lately there has been a surge of nonsense copyright claims on youtubers in the D2 community. It seems Bungie and its affiliates have been attacking its OWN community by slapping copyright infringements on videos pertaining to Destiny 2. Its not completely clear whether this is intentional or not at the moment; regardless, this is an unsettling new precedent for youtubers and gamers everywhere. I don't think it needs to be explained why this in no way protects the IP, but rather is incredibly damaging to it. Whether this is an algorithmic mistake or an intentional attack, it needs to stop. These copyright claims are not protecting anything, IF this is intentional its just senseless, and petty on a level that no one has ever gone to before. No one wants to live in a world where this is the norm.

This includes content on our own Bungie channels. These actions are NOT being taken at the request of Bungie or our partners. Please standby for future updates.
