I remember when D1 was a game to look forward to, then D2 launched with better graphics and mechanics.
Even if you were a solo player there were tonnes of stuff to do, never felt dull for a moment, loot caves to find, raid and abuse, Glitch out of the map, find ways to exploit the game.
Then Destiny 2 3.0 went F2P and a game as a live Dis-Service to the gamers, and almost everything went broken before Zavala had a chance to change underwear.
Don't get me wrong, it's good that people can have something for free for a change, but bad in the same way as most players that have followed this franchise since inception and poured their souls and money into this game. Well it's not as bad as Star Citizen but not far from it.
The one thing that troubles me with "Live service / Dis-Service games are the fact it's changing on a rapid scale that is not true or honors the community. One evening you can play Clash of the titans and have a blast, but next morning it feels like your Titan is heavy, farting around on a Japanese Moped up against Cabal and their equivalent to the German Leopard 2A7+, ending up getting your A$$ erased, over and over and over again.
Vaas : Did I ever tell you what the definition of insanity is? Insanity is doing the exact... same -Fkking!- thing... over and over again expecting... sh*t to change...
That's D@stiny in a nutshell!
Same things over and over again, reset your power lever and start over, WHERE is the change and fun in that?
Some people say, well bro, Git gud, Destiny is not Dark Souls where you have access to all the mechanics of grinding to get better. Nor will the developers hand over the key to the sandbox, (Feels more like a litter-box, if you ask me). they change the playing-field and rules all the time. It's like playing soccer and suddenly midgame the rules change to Hockey-Rules!
Not to mention all the popping bugs all the time, sure there were bugs before Destiny 2 became a Dis-Service to the players, but not in the scale of things like now.
Put me back on Mars with my trusty Gjallarhorn at my fingertips, or exotics that do work, dropped at a rate that far exceeds todays rates and expectations.
When exotics dropped back then it was FUN and exiting, maybe because they really were exotic and could not be bought.
A game as a dis-service are built on pay to win mechanics and greed and i think Bungie among others like E.A and Activision / Ubisoft are the pinnacle of those types of companies.
You hit the hammer on the nail Bungie, the nail that will drive into your coffin and future demise!
Once i was a proud and avid ambassadeur of Bungie. Loved Halo and loved D1 and parts of D2.
Now, not so much. Season pass makes revenue, but creates a stressful environment
But Dude, just turn off the game and do something else.
How many people developed an addiction to games during the pandemic, and that was over a span of at least two years!
Did not, could not, prohibited to work, sick-leave for longer periods of time.
Well just look at society as a whole and tell me anything is sane any more. Cellphones, slates, Computers and "Quality time"
Every fkking game, Destiny 2, COD, Rainbow, GTA has a time-walled season pass, and if you want to advance, you need them, otherwise you miss out on so much content that hinders your advancement.
If you ask me there are serious implications that tells me that many people will either suffer or maybe even die because of several types of addictions that has been created by companies like Bungie & Co.
Not just alcohol and drugs kills the soul of a human being you know!
The light of a guardian slowly dies if he feels unwanted, unnecessary, to much, always wanting, repetitive madness, overwhelmed, underwhelmed, to much challenge, to little challenge.
Life is a fine line and a walk on a razors edge!

You must remember a different vannila d2... Better mechanics than d1? Vanilla d2 forgot what made d1 good and it was a mess that almost killed the franchise until daddy forsaken fixed a lot of those mistakes. Or do you think that it was a coincidence that we got many things back from d1? Plus blaming f2p for the demise of the game, please! If I had to guess, you are the type that says "there are no jobs in my town because x people or x skin color took them all, but convinently forget to mention that you don't want to work and want everyone to pay for your stuff, or that those jobs got filled by people that want to work unlike yourself. Is d2 perfect? No Are there issues that need bungie's attention? Definitely But blaming all of that on f2p sounds like political rethoric that we got in our recent past about why this was messed up here.
