To anyone that might be reading this... I'm tired. I've been trying to get my account back for over a year after I was banned for no apparent reason. But reading online I believe once the account gets banned all the contents within are deleted. I started this journey back in high school at around the age of 14, I remember I was more excited for the launch of Destiny than the start of my High school career heh, but don't think I can go on any longer. I have sunk over $1000 and 1000 hours into this game just for this company to not even give me the light of day for a response, the simplest of human interactions. I feel sorry that I've wasted so much time and have nothing to show for it. I would love to argue my case and pled my innocence for the 1000th time but it feels like I'm yelling into a long dark tunnel for a year, there's no hope anymore, not for me anyways. I've even went as far as to ask some of the biggest names in the community for help, Datto and Wallah, but to no avail. They couldn't do much and everywhere I post people think I am lying about my innocence. Its a different kind of pain when you're honest and people don't believe you. Bungie has no customer service rep I can talk to and the number of their headquarters is unresponsive. I have no one to talk to and I feel alone and helpless. My parents left me and I don't think I can understand the harsh reality of this world, being good gets you nowhere in life. I've tried every option there is and was to speak to another human on the other end of this massive company, but to no use. I'm scared that I've exhausted everything in my capacity to at least get a REVIEW of the ban, not even an overturn.
To anyone that might go through what I went through, be stronger than me. I don't think there's reason for me to continue, everything I've ever earned and all the memories I've made with guardians, all the guns and gears I've grinded for... doesn't mean a thing anymore. I don't think I can't stop thinking about my first ever warlock I made and how I excited I was to jump into this massive world of Destiny. It was foolish of me to think that in a such a massive world with millions of players that God would care about just one loser guardian. I'm sorry but I think this is the end for me. It was a pleasure playing with all the guardians in this world, and I'm sorry to those I couldn't help more. Please try to keep the name Cyber alive in the world of Destiny my friends. My only regret is not hanging out my friends and family more IRL, but everything requires sacrifice. My best wasn't good enough... I'm sorry

OP: be mindful of ‘crying wolf’…a number of seriously concerned Guardians are/have responded already…read what they suggest and act accordingly, ie, get some counselling from a trusted adult / family member / relative or friend. Otoh: if you are just messing about…stop it, immediately! As many other Guardians have stated, simply make a new a/c and move on…hopefully a bit wiser for the experience. Your ‘argument’ re your precious G-rolls etc. does not hold water; the new WQ weapons are just as good, and the world drop rates are plenty to start filling some slots. Your much loved ‘gamer tag’ can easily be rearranged to retain most of the original elements, eg, Kyber…. Finally, read para 1 again…digest…and act accordingly. Chin up! 👈

I could be wrong, but I find it hard to believe bungie would ban you, just because, i mean how does that benefit them in anyway?

1 ReplyEdited by Bad Luck Brian: 3/11/2022 12:19:55 PMOkay now i have paranoia of getting ban in this game, because if i play with cheater in this game i could get ban when PvP in this game already chaos af, really hard to say who is the cheater who is not

1 ReplyIf you were banned over a year ago, then why does your game history say your last crucible match was in October of last year? In all seriousness though, if you’re struggling with mental health, please talk to someone about it. People care and will listen/help.

I definitely feel for you man. I'm going on whim and say that you're most likely being sincere, but at the end of the day, there's not much to be done really. Like you said yourself, even if you could login again, all your gear/weapons and progress are likely wiped. Bungie has no kind of customer support at all, which is appalling in 2022. But we all signed the ToS, meaning they can do whatever they want at anytime they feel like it. Hell, you can get banned just from having certain applications run in the background on PC that has nothing to do with Destiny. Even logging in on the Steam Deck is an instant ban and Bungie has openly announced this. So please, with everything said, you might want to consider starting fresh with a new account since I don't think it's an IP ban if you're willing. Or, do what's best, and try to move on to a different game. Destiny 2 is but a drop in the bucket to all the amazing titles out there that.

Yeah bungie really doesn't care , just Play elden ring. It's way better . Bungie wants us to slave away farming garbage that doesn't matter . I hit destiny really hard the last 7 years and instead of quality life improvements they've carefully crafted a game that sucks up all your free time and for nothing.

1 ReplyEdited by OlsBean: 3/10/2022 11:43:30 PMJust to clarify, is this a suicide note or giving up the attempt to get unbanned. Because if it’s the first one might I suggest trying to play something else? Around a year ago I started to lose interest in the game after around 15,000 hrs or so, I felt the game was becoming too far from the original vision so I left. First I tried World of Warcraft but I wouldn’t recommend it on the basis of it seems unlikely that a new expansion will launch ever now. Second I went to Final Fantasy 14, I highly recommend this for those burnt out from destiny, you have to read a lot but it is worth it. I took 1000 hours just to make it from the start of the story to the end of it and I still haven’t started the endgame raids yet. Third I have started playing Lost Ark, I’m not in a position to recommend it as I’m still well below the 1000 hour mark (or even the 10 hour mark) but from what I have seen the game is absolutely amazing and you will have enough content to last you for a long time. I still play destiny from time to time but heres the thing, it isn’t my destiny anymore and I think it’s unlikely it ever will be, we will never see another armsday or a secret exotic quest tucked into a wall that takes hours to find, we will never such for the “dubious volley” or grind for super good advice. I tear up while writing this as I remember all the times I had back in the day, my first raid being with a guy I randomly messaged at the reef when I didn’t know lfg existed or when I had ghorn and crux drop from the same raid. The only advice I can offer is to try something else. And to bungie, you might not be able to help me anymore but please help this guy out and unban him.

8 RepliesKeep commenting dude, tag the community reps on twitter. If they can interact with streamers they can obviously interact with you as well. Just keep tagging them and demand answers for your account. If you really put that much money in the game, I believe you deserve some kind of answer as to why your account got disabled. Trust me when I say this, Bungie WILL get back to you. I was banned from their forums multiple times for spamming because no one was replying to anything. You just need to stay persistent and patient, it's not idea to look like a helpless loser spamming on all things, but it sounds like you're very passionate about the game and honestly who cares? This is your account, these are things you spent the time to get, the memories you made... Bungie the least they can do is give you an answer to all that time invested. When I say spam, keep making new posts until someone is able to see it. If you get flagged for spam you've got to be on someones radar and they have to read it... right? I know my logic is flawed, but without a proper customer support funnel what else are we supposed to freaking do? Make a twitter, @bungiehelp and ask why you were banned. Even the community managers, they've helped people in the past, and even revealed that some people WERE in fact hacking. Even if you were playing with hackers without knowing, even if that were true I still believe you deserve to know the who/what/where/when. Maybe not so much the who, as that would lead to a witch hunt on the hacker or what ever. Anywho, if you need help dude, seriously contact a help line, just google your city + help line, and talk to somebody about it. It doesn't matter what you talk about it, as long as you can get something off your chest and feel listened to. That's the most important thing. They're not going to solve anything for you they're not magic, but they're absolute super heroes in listening, and if they can help you solve it yourself they'll go above and beyond. There's no shame in admitting you need help, you just need to reach out. And I think a post like this is more than a fine step in reaching out, so you're started on that front. Wish you all the best, hope you get your account back. Ps, if you end up making a new account, message me and I'll help you with dungeons, nightfalls or raids to get your stuff back!

2 RepliesIt's just a game bro. 😂

2 RepliesI’m gonna be honest boys, I looked into him. He was getting ROLLED in PvP, I don’t see how he could’ve been cheating. Multiple negative KDs, 3 flawlesses. If what you say is true I hope you’re helped by bungie. This may be the first real misban in forum history lmao.
-
Don’t worry bro I empathize hard with you, the rude people here are just miserable old geezers or soon to be

1 ReplyBungie doesn't care about the players. They never have apparently. Move on my friend. We all deserve better.

4 RepliesEdited by KannibalKlown: 3/10/2022 10:10:37 AMUltimately. We only have your word that you were banned for no reason. Now maybe it’s correct. But several times a year we see them ban people in waves. And every time that happens. EVERY TME. We’d hear the same sob story from people. “I don’t understand why I was banned. It was a mistake by Bungie” And we’d see their trials history. And somehow over multiple events they’d consistently win because people on the other team “mysteriously disconnected”. Like clockwork. One guy even tried to play the autism card and said his son was just really good at the game like Tommy the pinball wizard. Yeh right. Same thing. Every trials match had all but one person on the other team disconnect. So either his kid was a cheater. Or there was no kid and the poster was really just a deadbeat. Now. Bans are interesting. As far as I’ve seen they’re progressive. First you get banned for a short while. Then a long while. Then forever. I’ve never heard of a perma ban coming out of nowhere the first time. Maybe that’s for something major like being caught using aim bots or something. Again. I don’t know you or your situation. It’s possible you’re being sincere. Maybe some anti virus software or one of your developer tools were incorrectly flagged as cheating software But on these we forums we hear people constantly try to justify and retract their bans. And constantly see proof they’re lying. To the point that alllll complaints are just white noise

5 RepliesFrom what i am reading...the loss of your account seels to be a good thing for you. Considering your reaction about a lost account in a video game...it had a way way too huge place in your life. You'll feel way better without destiny honestly x)
-
Good luck in your efforts. Back in the day, good customer relations used to be a professional asset, not anymore it seems. Catering to streamers and crybabies seems to be of utmost importance for this company. If you need help regrinding your gear, just hit me up on the App and we can do some stuff. o/

2 RepliesBungies mods have fewer Brian cells than a tree stump, could literally pull a list of half a dozen people who’ve been given bans for no reason years ago. Keep spamming it dude and take the upvote. -blam!- the mods for bans in this game, they’re genuinely useless
-
3 RepliesIt's been a year? Doesn't sound like you're going to get it back. Maybe time to move on. How does anyone spend $1000 in one year on Destiny? I'm assuming you paid people to cheat and that's what caused the ban?
-
1 ReplyTake a moment of consideration and reflection and ask yourself one question: “Do you love Destiny enough to start over?” If yes, start over with a new account. You’ve already wasted a year trying to recover what you could have rebuilt. If no, cherish the memories and move on to your next game of passion and enjoyment. Don’t continue to wallow in misery of opportunities lost to misfortune. Make a choice. Dare to find new happiness to replace what once was.

1 ReplyEdited by sideswipe: 3/11/2022 3:32:28 AMDude… eventually they are going to pull the plug on the game, the servers will become old and powered off. And we ALL will have to move on with nothing from this game but memories. So either start a new character or move on in life. Sulking gets you nowhere. EVERYTHING we have in life is on lease! You will take nothing with you from this life when you are dead. Remember that. I don’t care what you hold dear; comic books, clothes, a car, a pet, or friends. It’s ALL Temporary.
-
5 RepliesDude, if this is real I think you may need to talk to someone. At the end of the day this is a game - nothing more than pictures on a screen and should be treated as such. There is so much more to life than a game matey I promise. Also you can just make a new account. You would of had a years worth of gear by now.
-
2 RepliesEdited by Exileant: 3/11/2022 5:41:34 AMI am not sure what they think you did, but they should have at least contacted you in order to allow you to explain yourself. Barring blatant Religious, Racial and National misconduct there should have been a few warnings issued. People toss the N word around over coms like it is a beach ball at a Blacklight & Bubble party and nothing is done about it anymore thanks to them removing the ability to record communications with your videos without the use of special equipment... Regardless, hold tough, Destiny is now a part of Playstation, which means you can now call them for help in reviewing your ban and possibly reinstating your account. So there is always hope my friend.

Damn this is actually sad and it's true though. Bungie decides to ban someone for no apparent reason and nobody can help him. Also it feels like Bungie just really stopped caring for the community, because in destiny 1 we get actually content and it felt like a sci Fi fantasy, while destiny 2 is more or less a generic fps game. In D1 they really seemed to care but now, now it feels like they just don't care anymore and they keep on patching stuff such as raid glitches but they allow the game breaking ones even though they could just make it where dungeons give you spoils. But overall it's just sad 😭.

4 RepliesShould’ve not use those cheats my boy.

One day the servers will be turned off and we will all have wasted an enormous amount of time and money with nothing to show for it. You just got there sooner than us.
