I've read the policy about not restoring items or characters. I have read lots of goofy stories about someone playing for a few hours and deleting there character and wanting it restored. This is a bit different. I had my hunter and warlock over 1500 power and I made them back in destiny 1 when it came out. I've poured tons of time and money into this game. I'm kind of sick to my stomach. I come home to find out my 5 year old son decided to turn my xbox on and somehow made his way to deleting my hunter and warlock. Is there anything bungie can do for me? It would be greatly appappreciated. I will sing your praises all on Twitter or whatever you want. If you can't do anything I'd love an explanation as to why you cannot restore such things. Is it a technical thing or what?
Sincerely,
An avid destiny fan.

Bungie does not replace lost or deleted items. Bungie Policy

They won’t help sadly. Feel for ya. On the bright side you don’t need to worry about vault space. 😬 sorry couldn’t help myself. But in all seriousness you should give the little guy up for adoption that behavior is not to be tolerated.
-
I know the rules and I've read all the stories, but I'm special, no seriously, I have a kid, I'm really special.
-
3 RepliesI'm curious if it's a case of bungie not being able to restore things or refusing to?
-
1 ReplyI feel like this is a clever Durex ad. I’m afraid you’re probably out of luck here. Bungie doesn’t restore accounts due to mishaps and deletion.
-
They need to replace deleted characters and accounts, if someone reports it within ~7days or so. It's kind of, no really stupid that someone can pour years of time into an account and have it messed up in a matter of second with no way to fix it.

2 RepliesWhat's the real story? You want me to believe that the next few bullet points are your story? -Your xbox has a 6 digit pin that your 5 year old somehow knows. -Your 5 year old not only turned your xbox on, was able to navigate to d2, and then delete your character/s. -Unless your kid is 7 feet tall already, I would think that putting the controller higher than him would stop him from touching it. -Then you started your post by saying "I read the policy but it does not apply to me for whatever lame reason". You are either a pathological liar or the biggest fool ever. Your story does not make any sense. What I think that really happened was, you and your buddies had a -blam!- or crack party, you or one of your friends deleted your stuff while trying to play while intoxicated, now you come here with some story that sounds ridiculous asking for an exception to policy that bungie does not provide to you or anyone.....regardless of their made up sad story. And to get ahead of your most likely answer, yes I have kids, and yes, no kid can get into my console.
-
I don’t have kids myself, but I don’t even let myclosest friends touch my PC or consoles/gaming accounts. Been burned too many times back in the day when friends would accidentally restart my Pokémon games. I don’t trust a single person when it comes to my games.
-
4 RepliesIf you've read the policy then you know the answer lol If I had a small child I would probably have a password or pin set on my account, but that's just me 🤷♂️
-
Well thats what you get for letting people play.
-
Nothing they will or can do.. but easy go grind them back out. It doesn't take long
-
Sadly there’s no way for them to reinstate your characters. The way they have it set up they would have to reset everyone back to right before your characters were deleted in order to get them back. And obviously that’s not something they can realistically do. I’ve had this happen to me before. Put a crap load of hours in to the Witcher 3 and one of my daughters delete the save.
-
5 RepliesI want to be sympathetic but it's an absolute schoolboy error not adding the 6 digit passkey to your xbox account, especially if you have kids. Secondly, he should be commended for taking out the trash *kappa
-
at least you still have collections. i know, small consolation but if you run the WQ campaign on legendary you'll be to 1520 pretty quick.

Praedyth😘 - old
Happened to me awhile back, had to redo everything. -
3 RepliesBungie can do rollbacks which they have done a couple times but it’s a full playerbase rollback, not an action specific to individual accounts. Sadly nothing whatsoever can be done, you will just have to start over.
-
This is like a kick in the nuts. I love this game but I'm having a hard time justifying starting the grind for all my gear again. Not to mention having to grind out 2 of my characters. All the perfectly rolled weapons and stats on armor is just gone. I assume I can reclaim my exotic weapons but armor is gone. I'll have to grind the stasis and witch queen campaigns again. I have heard of the new light thing for new players. I have no idea what that consists of. This sucks. They might lose a customer over this particular policy. I get that some cases are bogus but surely they could pull my info and see it's a legitimate instance.

SOL. Next time, Lock up the Xbox.

Sadly there is nothing anyone can do.
