Hi,
first of all I want to say that I love D2 pvp and I think there is nothing else like it. And I just try to make it better with this idea:
How about having PVP specific craftable weapon of each archetype with all the good PVP perks available. But no PVE perks.
This would make sure PVE ppl would still have things to chase. But we would have fair pvp environment where skill would be the only deciding factor.
Those weapons could be balanced separately from pve weapons because pvp perks are usually not desirable in pve.
And yes having a better roll than the other guy makes you win the duel sometimes (both on similar skill level). Which is not ok in pvp environment imo.
Sure you can play with not optimal roll and do good but thats not the point.
Few examples of weapons which are great for pvp but are pain to get:
annual skate - total rng
cantata - total rng
pali - NF :(
crisis inverted - finally some viable primary from crucible BUT most of the perks are trash and cantata is better imo.
I enjoy campaign story missions and ocasional dung. But spending hundreds of hours in Strikes/NF/Raids which I dont enjoy AT ALL just to be competitive in the playlist I actually bought Destiny for is not ok imo.
Im not PRO by any means and started playing d2 like year ago but I think im decent in shooters. I grew up on Q3A/UT/CS and honestly the best pvp games are those with even playing field and no RNG at all.
But that might be just me.
TLDR:
let us get best in slot pvp guns from crafting without affecting pve. tyvm
btw not native eng speaker so dont poke on my gramar :D

1 ReplyThis... really just reads as a "wtf why are there no Hand Cannon patterns" after seeing the weapons you've listed, lol To which, I say a firm 'hell yes' in agreement. Their exclusion of Hand Cannon patterns because of their popularity (the excuse I'm going with despite what they will claim) is one of the many stupid design choices of this expansion.
