All that stuff you mentioned not coming into play, can still come into play. She survived the dlc and regained her memories for a reason Why do you think that is?

  • yes exactly, anything is possible now. there is some serious psychological operations going on in this expansion and for the first time in a long time i don't know what to expect and that is exciting! Like when are we gunna meet our doppelgänger again?

  • Who says we will meet it again? It was a shape in a vision, not something real. Nokris and his necromancy could of been just a back up plan to stay alive. It’s questionable if she can use it without Hive magic. Some of these are likely already “finished” we just aren’t sure.

  • whether Savathun seeded our guardian with that vision or not is unkown but what is known is that the Destiny Universe has multiple timelines and the Stranger revealed that on Venus in D1. If Savathun found a way to tie a knot in the space-time fabric of the timeline we are presently in and/or discovered a way how to exploit an existing knot, then there is a causal loop here; meaning, anyone capable of travelling back in time could change the fabric of the future, for example (i pulled this from wikipedia): 'Doctor Who' had an episode where a woman who absolutely loved Beetoven wished she could travel back in time and meet him irl. Her wish came true except she met him before he published any works. She couldn't resist the urge to write out the 5th Symphony in hopes to validate him but all he ended up doing was copying what she wrote and eventually published it as his own works. So this begs the question: who wrote the 5th Symphony? So basically, Savathun could be the one who has basically been grooming us all along. Perhaps she impersonated us in SK vision, creating the doppelgänger effect is pure speculation at this point but the likelihood that our universe (or simply our solar system) is trapped in an endless loop/cycle takes the cake; in other words we have bigger things to worry about. Unless we can undo the knot, history is doomed to repeat itself over and over again and everything that exists will turn into Savathun's throne world where we are basically farmed for energy: food, clothing (since hive love fleshy stuff) and entertainment. No choices left or individuality in endless loop cycles. sorry to ramble, i mostly am fascinated with what is happening now in D2 because i think about this sci-fi stuff irl.

  • What, the vision with the doppelgänger? The was the Black Fleet and that means the Witness and/or Winnower. Saying it might be Savathun is out there. Tie a knot how? Finding something on Wikipedia doesn’t mean it’s possible in Destiny. Especially when it comes to time travel. The Vex can’t even travel back in time and change things. The Stranger from D1 isn’t the same as D2. D1 Stranger was from a different timeline. D2 stranger is from the original version of our timeline. There is a loop. The Stranger is the person looping through time. No one else. It’s in the Dark Future lorebook and was central to her story in BL. This version of the timeline has been steered this way by the Stranger. Not Savathun.

in order to time travel you have to bend space and time and create/discover a wormhole. to get a visual simply draw a line on a piece of paper, fold it in a U shape and jab a pencil through it (or a miniature glaive 😉) the pencil is your wormhole that functions a bridge someone like Savathun has undoubtedly crossed. If the bridge can exist long term, then everything in that loop is trapped in what becomes an unatural environment influence by whoever can cross it. As soon as the first bridge is built, infinitely many more can be created, thus giving access to alter everything eventually. im not sure about how the Stranger fits in to all of this yet but what is revealed is that she is a Messenger sent from another universe, most likely by The Witness. This suggests that there are just as many witnesses as there are gardeners as there are winnowers present in just as many universes. All comprise the Multiverse etc. in our peculiar and unfortunate case, our Witness has been kicked from the game and Savathun has access to all the chest pieces or maybe just the pieces that have been defeated: both light and dark, by The Gardener and The Winnower accordingly.

Time travel according to normal physics. Paracausal power defies normal physics. And you got the Stranger 100% wrong. She is reliving this timeline. Per her backstory as revealed in BL and the Dark Future lorebook. She is not from another universe. She would have to be from this timelines original version. Kind of like Groundhogs Day. It’s a close comparison, except the loop doesn’t end in a day but lasts until you die.

  • cool, thanks for that. i do not have access to many books just youtubers for lore. i just like the notion that we live in a multiverse and our timelines are running in parallel just at different stages experienced by the living as evolution. There are surely multiple copies of us tho, since the Stranger confessed that she killed her sister. Perhaps she is from our neighboring universe, able to be sent here because where she comes from they are more evolved then us? maybe she had to become an exo in order to be our messenger? i dunno

  • Go to Ishtar Collective, they have everything. My understanding of the timelines is that they should be near infinite, one for every decision or choice made. There are multiple us more then likely. In previous versions of our timeline, we either die or become corrupted. It’s like I said, she is from this timelines original version. Not another universe. Evolution doesn’t seem to be a difference in timelines, just choices. I think it uses the concept of forking timelines, every choice causes a new branch. The Exo part might be sorta true. Seems like the Gardner wanted Clovis to make them using Darkness energy.
