I really do like what they're doing with Void 3.0. I just wish that Nightstalker invisibility could do more. Increased movement speed, melee damage, or something. At least let it allow you to remain invisible while using your melee. Child of the Old Gods can replenish ability energy while draining enemies, Offensive Bulwark gives you grenade energy, and increased melee range and damage while you have an Overshield, but none of the Nightstalker's Aspects have any additional bonuses for being invisible, other than being able to apply weakening on melee hit, which is highly risky if you're surrounded by powerful enemies--especially in high level content. If you could remain invisible while using your melee, and replenish either melee or dodge energy while invisible, it would bring a bit more synergy to the subclass, and help with the whole "stealthy assassin" angle that Bungie's going for.

  • If you want to melee absolutely everything and keep invisibility up then void actually isn’t the optimal class to use…. Arc is. Top tree arc strider with assassins cowl, an arc well melee build, and a 1-2 punch shotgun can decimate bosses health. I’m talking major chunks of HP and with brawler on the effect is even more drastic. And with top tree and assassins cowl healing going you almost never have to worry about dying other than the occasional oops when you get -blam!-. You probably won’t be using this in GM’s but it’s fun anyways.
