Just curious about community opinion. Most likely the results will be heavily swayed in one direction or another due to the imbalance of the number of Hunters vs Titans vs Warlocks in general. Exotics are not being applied to my personal opinion as they are intended to alter the way certain things work, and some should not exist as they currently do (Still looking at you Stag…). I would prefer if only those that actually play all three classes. Key word play, not have. Though all opinions will be accepted. My basic thoughts on each specialty after week 1 of Witch Queen. Hunter - Invisibilty - Can be used in both low end and high end content. Can be tied to Mobility, Strength, and/or Intellect depending on aspects and/or super used. Highest availability, without outside influences, when tied to mobility as dodge is the fastest cooldown class ability. Potential debuffs applied to enemies when tied to strength. Very strong, arguably the best, survival tool in high end PvE. Easily abused in PvP, assuming you understand exactly how it works in relation to radar vs sight and such. Depending on build, has nearly 100% up time on demand. Titan - Overshield - Very effective in regular PvE content. Not as effective in high end PvE. The barricade itself is just a barricade. The overshield however suffers the same issue as WoR, as you can still be easily one shot many enemies in high difficulty content. Can be tied to Resilience or Strength, though the melee isn’t as effective depending on factors like number of enemies hit with the melee. In Void 3.0, Barricade (Most common overshield source) can be treated much like an improved (Or at least modified) rift. The Barricade blocks projectiles while the overshield is capable of regeneration. Easy to abuse in PvP. Depending on the build it has a very high up time and nearly 100% availability on demand, though movement is restricted if you intend to use the barricade to regenerate the overshield. Warlock - Devour - Highly effective in regular PvE content. Suffers in high end PvE and PvP. Can be tied to Recovery (Depending on aspect), Strength, Discipline, and Intellect. Arguably the best specialty in low end PvE content. Mediocre to abysmal results in high end PvE content and PvP. In both high end PvE content and PvP, it has an almost RNG based uptime. This is not because of the timer, it is due to the ability to proc the Devour effect. The effect itself has 100% uptime as long as you are getting kills. In high end PvE and PvP content, the ability to proc Devour is based off getting the ‘final blow’ on an enemy. This takes premeditated attempts to weaken and then finish an enemy with one of the abilities. This is often interfered with due to a teammate finishing the enemy and getting the ‘final blow’ on them. Due to these reasons, Devour tends to have the highest uptime in regular PvE content and the lowest uptime in high end PvE and PVP content. With the nerf to Devour, it also has zero ability to proc on demand. So, that sums up a basic opinion on the three class specialties. As I mentioned at the beginning, i’m curious about other peoples opinions on what class currently has the best specialty. How do some of you feel about the current state of the specialties and which do you prefer?

  • Going into WQ, I thought Warlock was going to have the best of it, but Titan is the real winner imo. On demand Overshields, ridiculous ability uptime, huge melee buffs, everything explodes, everything heals. They got a monstrous neutral game that looks to translate to every part of the game
