CONSTANTLY CONNECTING TO SERVERS

I have been having this issue since a few days before Witch Queen launched & I have never had this problem before. I boot up Destiny 2 & I am constantly connecting to servers. It won’t sign me in, I can’t get to the character selection screen, nothing. It sits & constantly says “connecting”. I currently have been sitting on the main menu screen for about an hour with no luck. Sometimes it works & sometimes it does this. I have tried every fix. Port forwarding with the specific numbers given for D2, I have changed DNS servers, I have called my ISP (to which they claim nothing is wrong & have helped me reset my cache & router numerous times), I have uninstalled & reinstalled the game, I have verified my files through Steam, I have run the game as administrator. I’ve done every little thing I could possibly do & am still having this issue almost every day since WQ released. What else can I do? Is this simply a server issue & I have to wait for it to be addressed? Is it something deeper in my router that’s wrong? My fiancé currently is playing & did not have this issue, so I’m weary to believe it’s my router/ISP. I have no idea what to do & it’s frustrating to say the very least.

 • Thanks for your report. The "Contacting Destiny 2 Servers" message indicates that there is a connection issue of some kind happening between you and Destiny 2. This may be an internet service provider issue. Here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:
1. A wired connection is recommended to play Destiny, and if your connection is being used for other things when playing the game, such as streaming, it's recommended to quit those programs. You may also want to enable IPV6 on your router if you have it. 6. This player found a solution that involves installing new network driver 7. You may want to change your DNS server on your console to Google's Nameservers (8.8.8.8. and 8.8.4.4.) 8. Contact your internet service provider to see if there are any issues with your connection.
