WQ was amazing, there's only one plot hole that I've noticed. This is a major spoiler, so click away if you haven't played yet.
was it savathuns plan to just die and hope the traveller chose her? What assurance did she have that she would be rezzed, bc she knew she would die if she lost her worm. Also why is it that hive are just now being chosen by ghosts? If it was truly just a choice by the traveler, what happened to make it decide to resurrect the hive? I feel like we would've encountered them by now, especially since every ghost that will ever exist already does. Why haven't we encountered non human guardians before if it's really just the ghosts choice?
Savathun didn't know for sure that the Traveler would res her. It was a leap of faith... to an extent. She'd clearly been researching into how the Traveler selects potential guardians and it stands to reason that she simply starting going through ticking those criteria off of her list. Once she was done, she would let herself die and hope that she was right. And she was. As for the Lucent Brood, the simplest explanation may be that Savathun being chosen simply opened the floodgates for hive-sympathetic ghosts. They would think that if the Traveler had chosen the literal head honcho of the hive, surely they would be justified in following suit with the hive of their choice. Dunno how the hive ghost shells became a thing though, or how it works when ghosts supposedly all came into creation after the collapse and each has only one destined guardian from the moment they're made, (replacement guardians like Shin Malphur don't count). Then again I guess maybe they don't have only one. I mean Pulled Pork felt that Crow was his guardian and he wasn't around for centuries after PP was created.
That’s part of the big reveal, Savathûn didn’t have any assurances. It’s why she spends her last moments wondering if she’d been tricked and if this death would be her last. As for the Hive Guardian point, comes down to the Worms. Savathûn actively had to have hers extracted to wield the Light when she died, something that played a massive role in the Traveler choosing to gift the Hive the Light. Finally, non-human Guardians. Despite the lore more heavily leaning into the idea that Ghosts have free-will, I simply believe that the Traveler has no yet deemed the other species worthy of the Light. We already know that the Kell of Kells is likely to be the first Eliksni Guardian after falling in battle, given the House of Rain prophecies.
It'd funny the ghost that revived her was a hive ghost even though they were at the last city. Does that mean each faction has their own style ghost? A cabal ghost, fallen ghost, or imagine a vex ghost. Lol

Eliksni GunslingerBaron Of Light - old
she didn't have any assurances, it was a huge gamble on her part, and the reason they were not chosen before is because they were actively serving the darkness , after she got rid of her worm she was able to be chosen however that doesn't explain why we haven't seen any Eliksni or Cabal guardians
-
It was her hope. She, for the first time, had faith instead of a plan with guaranteed results. She'd proven genuine bravery, her devotion, and her sacrifice. She's part of the reason why Guardians/Ghosts exist. Why now? Because there are no worms to consume that Light. Savathûn was the first to rid herself of the worm pact.
Yeah This campaign has a bunch of plot holes that aren't explained in game. I'm sure there will be text lore added at some point to fill in the gaps

Yup. And it doesn't make sense how finch knows all kinds of stuff, but they're new.

Dude I may be missing some lore or bits somewhere. But I believe that whole part was summed up for lucent hive by saying ghosts were peer pressured….
