12:26pm, Bungie Help still telling players to log into the game on their PS4s.
You know, except that I’ve done that for 26 minutes, including a power cycle, quitting/relaunching, and scouring the net to find more people reporting the same thing.
Poor/incorrect information.
No indications anyone has even acknowledged the issue.
Arbitrary directions being given that obscure anyone looking for an actual solution.
More of Bungie over-charging and under delivering again.

Get through the queue and stop being impatient. We all dont like whats happening but we all have to bear with it
-
Not even relevant to what we were discussing. Okbuddyguardian comes into a help thread designed for the exact issue, makes a shitpost about something tangential then leaves. What a hero.

So you've logged into D2 26 times or did you get yourself placed into queue 26 times? If you end up in the queue you haven't logged in. The queue is a holding place where you wait to be allowed to log in during times where there is high demand on the servers. If you're in the queue then you have to sit in the queue until your account's time comes up to actually log in. Once you actually log in is when the compatability files should start downloading. Again, being in the queue is not logged into D2, the queue is where you go when it can't log you in due to a high volume of log in requests on the servers.
-
We apparently have to wait through the ENTIRE queue to start the download, wait for it to download, and then queue again to actually play.

This is more pertinent to my issue, thanks. I wasn’t in queue - I was waiting for a queue to begin. 20 minutes of waiting for some indication a download will even begin is not clear from the patch or bungie help solution pathway.
-
Yeah, I kept waiting and waiting for a queue screen to appear. When I queued for Beyond Light, I had a “your place in line: # out of #” thing, but for Witch Queen, nothing like that. Just had to ride it out with no indication of how long the queue was, what time it might take to get there, or anything, just 30min of sitting and then, poof, a download screen.

Have some patience, lol. you'll get there eventually

Edited by acidmouthed: 2/23/2022 6:51:38 PMZero, that was a pretty dismissive comment to make on your part when this was clearly several posts needing answers in a Help thread. I’m allowed to feel frustrated that I left work on my lunch break to perform what was supposed to be a 5min task to set up the downloads that turned into a 1.5hr ordeal for a single button press on a game I paid a lot of money from my not-so-disposable to play. :/
