I’m pretty sure that in the giant doc we click accept on to play the game for the first time it says that they can make any changes to the content included in the game at any time. I know a lot of games do this. Does it succ? Yes Is it frustrating? Yes Should Bungie do it? Probably not Is it Unethical? Nope

  • Because we don’t own the content. We rent access to the content. That’s what every live game of the past decade has been. It sucks. I’d say keep everything if we could, but hardware limitations mean that there’s a limit. The game still needs to cater towards the 60% of players that are on Xbox Ones and PS4s. Bungie’s going the MMO route like a lot of other games right now, iterating on old systems instead of making a whole new game. This comes with the caveat that they need to be able to cut some things to make room for new ones. All this is possible because the message we all skip that says “I Accept” most likely includes them reserving the right to add and remove content as they see fit. We didn’t buy the game, we buy/rent access to the game.

  • It say we own the right to play the content and bungle have the right to make changes thers not tos part thet gives bungle the right to remove content but is post is about if its ethical to remove content we pay for it looking for opinions not asking what the tos let bungle do i do not want to no what bungle say or debate tos with people who do not understand them i just want your opinion based on right and wrong if what bungle is do is unethical you need to remember a business will allways try to make its tos favor it more then its players thets y we have ethicas and moers we have to remember thet being in tos or in a rule book is not to say its a unethical rule or part of the tos we as a community have to think for arselfs and staunde up for what we no is right not just buy in to every thing bungle say and let a big business control what we think its up to us as a community to hold business responsible for all its actions and ideas and if we do not we may turn around 1 day and see destiny is a community game in name and tip but not in fact this is a community game bungle has forgotten thet thets y we have to give opinions on post not just repet what bungle say or run around trying to smack peoples opinions down with tos every time bungle is critst

  • Dude, I’m not usually one to say this but this was painful to read. Standing up for yourself is one thing. Being unethical is another. If you rent a movie is it unethical to have to return it once your time is up? Love service games are us renting access to it. We sign away all our rights to sue over this when we sign that TOS. On top of that there is a very good argument for it. Bungie needs to keep the file size small enough that it or can still run efficiently on a PS4 or Xbox One. Destiny, right now, has more content than 95% of games right now that can be played on those systems. It also happens to be where about 1/2 of all players are. I’m not going to waste time trying to argue ethics with someone online, but I will say this: did you get your value out of it?
