Edited by Sumpig-2: 12/8/2020 10:25:31 AMBasically... an orphan, named after flowers off the top of a dude's head and with no real concept of emotion, is trained to be a Green Mean WWI German(inspired) killing machine but due to lack of war, she now letter-ates for the illiterate to find out: "what is love?"
(The kid swings a Gewehr 98(looks like it) and kills a dude. She's the real deal.)
And may I say, them eyes... KyotoAni works wonders.
the world is set in a country that just had a WWI-esque Civil War, Violet's side based off Germans and the other side based off the British. Cause, theres Mauser's and Lee-Enfields and the helmets.
It’s about a young girl recovering and finding out her place in the world after fighting in a war. Guess that’s the best way to put it.....Pig could probably do better.

Oh no, I'm bad at explaining. I'd end up spoiling plot points and all that jazz.

From my brief understanding...
Violet Evergarden follows the story of... well Violet Evergarden. She was a crazy good soldier for the British-French-US alliance during WWI, who then after the war must learn how to emotionally connect with “normal citizens” as part of her job as a... letter writer? I’ve never watched it, but IMO that’s the brief idea.
Oh and the story also has amazing animation from what I’ve seen.

Close, but it’s a fake war in a fake world.
-
Isn’t anime fake to begin with?
-
Well yeah but....shut up

Sounds like something Studio Ghibli would make! Which is a compliment; Studio Ghibli’s great.

It's by Kyoto Animations. The same people who did A Silent Voice, Clannad, Chuuni, K-On, Lucky Star, Hyouka, Full Metal Panic, Lucky Star, Kobayashi's, and so on Great art

Yeah. It’s actually the same studio as Mrs. Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid!....which while good, I doubt you would like tbh.
