Clay responds to the call.
"What do you you need?"
Dr Clay's voice is choppy, some from his poor reception and some from his gravelly, worn voice.
English
-
“Um....h-hello? Do I know you?”
-
"Don't think so, but it seems you need assistance."
-
“Okay....come just east of Cornappa forest.”
-
"Copy that." He clicks off, and arrives at the forest a short time later. "Bon-uh howdy there."
-
“Hi.” Blaze looks really scared
-
Appearance info: Dr Clay looks like an older human male, just past his prime. He wears dirty robes that are torn from weeks in the field, but cleaned up you would guess he could pass as a well mannered gentleman. His only items are a book hung at his left hip and a black, obsidian knife on the right.
"You ok there lad? You look like you've seen a ghost!"
-
“I....well I’m not.”
-
"What's buggin you? And say, do you have a drink?"
-
“A....drink?”
-
"Of course lad, I don't do field work without it. Calms the nerves right out." An odor-probably liquor-surrounds Clay, and it becomes more noticeable as he walks around.
-
“Um....I don’t have any here, but I have a bar.”
-
"Augh. Well, that'll have to do. So what did you call out for, and got you half scared to death?"
-
Blaze points into the forest. You see a campfire, and can barely make out a ship next to it. On the side is a painted on symbol of a tablet under an orb.
-
"What, goblins? Trolls? I heard there are a few out here, might be having a midnight snack. Nothing to worry too much about."
-
“No....I know that symbol....and those people hate me.”
-
"Oh. And why's that?"
-
“It’s....a long story.”
-
"I see." Clay opens his book and starts flipping through it. "So what is it? Kill or Capture?"
-
“Your choice....but I would like to know why they’re here.”
-
“Very well, capture it is.” Clay approaches the campfire, trying his best to stay hidden.
-
He sees a group of four men around it.
-
"Let's see..." Clay checks how close the men are to the fire, and prepares a Wall of Ice spell tfreeze them in place.
-
They’re all the minimum space required to be safe, probably to keep warm.
-
Clay whispers to himself. “No, we can do better.” Clay conjures a small hall of elemental air, and casts it at the fire. Once it leaves his hands, it becomes a small breeze. As soon as it (hopefully) puts out the fire, he’ll prepare a fireball.
