As someone who tries pretty hard to collect most of the new weapons, skins, armor cosmetics, etc. I find it almost impossible to keep up with Eververse without spending money. With the changes to cosmetic items no longer dismantling for Bright Dust it is a grueling grind to acquire enough Bright Dust to buy these "free to play" cosmetics fast enough. In theory, each weekly bounty from the 3 main NPC vendors (Zavala, Shaxx, Drifter) grants 200 Bright Dust a piece with additional bounties from some vendors rewarding 10 Bright Dust a piece. This ends up as a grand total of about 3600-4000 bright dust for an account per week so long as they finish these bounties on every character. That's a decent amount however new eververse items such as sparrows, ships, ghosts, and emotes cost anywhere from 2000-3500 bright dust apiece meaning that unless you store away massive amounts of this currency there is no way to acquire all of these new cosmetics fast enough before the event is over. Please implement a better way to earn bright dust or make these prices more reasonable so that people don't feel like they're missing out if they don't spend ridiculous amounts of real money on silver. It has felt like the seasons have just been an excuse to market new skins for quite a while and I can't imagine much of the community enjoying this. If you made it this far into this post please answer the poll question. What is your opinion of the Bright Dust economy?

Edited by Xc_LuxZenRa: 1/1/2020 10:19:58 AMI honestly dont mind bungie having microtransactions. What really bothers me is the lack of balance between items(emotes and ghosts shells; specifically extoics) to earn in game vs purchase from everse. Let me earn a exotic emotes (more than one) from RNG doing x activity. Let me earn an Exotic ghost besides sagira's. There needs to be more balance in this regard and i think a lot people would not be bothered by everse as much. The obelisk activity is great but imagine there being an exotic emote you could earn at ramdom too? This should be a no brainer but for some reason bungie does not operate in this manner which is sad. I think taking a wareframe approach(the platinum system) would livin up the issue immensely. But this would require more work form bungie to make this a viable choice. i would also say dedicated servers would be needed.
